A Restful Day at Village Home | Alive and Thriving on Jan 21, 2025

Hi there. How are you? I hope you are doing great. Welcome to my short diary on Tuesday, January 21, 2024!

We are staying with my parents in my village home. My eldest brother and his family also live there, so there are a lot of people there. Besides, the neighbors often visit us in the village for various purposes. As a result, my solo home in Oman is quite different than our village home.

I was at home the whole day. We woke up pretty early. My nephew and my son started playing together in the early morning. They are enjoying the most. We helped each other with various tasks at home.

My father is quite old. In the afternoon, I took him outside with the wheelchair. He enjoyed the outside world for some time. In the late afternoon, I had a short afternoon nap.

In the evening, I worked on the laptop for some time. After 9 p.m., we had dinner together.

It was a pretty restful day. However, regarding physical activities, it was not a healthy day at all. Moreover, I ate different kinds of foods. More weight gain ahead!!

It is a good thing your brother and his family are there to care for your parents and your son has a playmate. I can remember the fun I used to have with my cousins when we went to my Grandmother's house every Sunday. My Dad's sister, my Aunt, and her family lived with her.

Yes. It is indeed a good thing for us. They take care of our parents. We (my brother in the US, and me) just provide financial support.

It is nice to hear how grown children take care of their parents, many get put in nursing homes and forgotten about, it is so sad.
