There are some incentives for the participants. You will find that information in this post. Of them,

Rewards: All users who participate in the event will win rewards. Each user will win HBD rewards equal to 1% of the Cent value they power up. Each user will win Ecency Points equal to 1.5% of the Cent value they power up. For example: In a calculation made with the current CENT price; a user who powers up 1000 Cents will win 0.0072 HBD and approximately 7.5 Ecency Points.
