Zingtober Day #24 Rowdy 🎺

The tuning went out the window!
Hey guys, which of you is as bad at playing instruments as I am? In a last-minute effort to tackle a few more prompts before October ends, I decided to bring out the whole feathered crew to make some noise in Holozing. Are they playing a song? I think so—but each one is playing whatever they want, all at the same time!
🔅 Twenty-fourth Prompt: Rowdy
Like I said, for this prompt I brought out the entire feathered band—all the evolutions of the same Holo. So here you have Fal, Fally, and Falcor making a racket. They might be great singers, but when it comes to playing instruments, the goal is just to cause chaos. Unfortunately, they're tormenting the Holo with the longest ears, who can’t help but hear everything. Poor Zappity can’t find peace, even by tying his ears into a knot! 🥁🎶
🧠 TOOLS USED:
- Photoshop (as always, my digital salvation).
- Brushes: my trusty brush pack, with a few new ones featuring glitter effects
- Resolution: 2048x2400 px
(Thx to @holozing for such adorable creatures to bring to life!)

⏰ CREATIVE PROCESS
✏️ Phase 1: Ibis Paint for Sketching
I wanted Zappity right in the middle of all the ruckus, so I placed each feathered character around him. But to keep the composition balanced, I put the largest one in the background, the medium-sized one below, and in the last available spot, I added little Fal going at it with fury, making noise with his drum

🎨 Phase 2: Lineart
Of course, I had to refine the sketch, though without making it perfect, as that would actually enhance the character's sense of movement. To make my life easier, I did use the symmetry tool for Emberox's face

🌗 Phase 3: Ink
I painted each character counter-clockwise, starting with Falcor, who takes up a large part of the stage and is the most stylized and detailed. Then I moved on to Fally—even though he looks a bit strange lying on the ground, I managed to disguise his pose with Fal’s drum.

 🌟 Phase 4: Final Touches
Using the Multiply blend mode, I added a subtle dark border around Zappity to give him volume and make him stand out from the other characters. I also added little sparkles in his eyes that make him look completely overwhelmed—in fact, it even looks like the Fals are pestering him. Now I feel a little sorry for Zappity, though I’ll say it again: I really wanted him to look stubborn!
And you? Are you doing Inktober, or focusing on Zingtober? Or maybe following a different prompt list?
Let me know in the comments—I’d love to check out your art and see how you interpret the prompts!
