Hello shiny metals lovers! Finally, I got the awesome bullion that @dfinney sent. I was gifted the shipping fees and I am very thankful for her. I bought a 1oz silver that I wanted so badly for my collection very close to the silver spot, which is around 30 USD right now, and paid 37 USD. It is a very rare event in my collection life. The topic of the bullion is cetaceans species! And one specific cetacean that makes part of my history.

  The same Megaptera novaeangliae also visits the Brazilian shore from Antarctica to the tropics to reproduce in warmer waters. When I was working with whales and dolphins watching during university, I remember witnessing their migration in Arraial do Cabo. Dozens of whales were swimming in the north direction. Spashes and water blows were amazing. It was the time that I saw whales in a day. After some years I brought my wife ( girlfriend at that time) to the same spot during a similar season and we also saw some migrating.

  For those that don't know much about how to differentiate whales in general. These whales are easy to identify. Well if you are in a boat you will see her tail when diving, which is black and white. Also during her swimming, you can spot her small fin on top of a hump in the back. These differences are already enough to differentiate from similar whales like Finn, Minke, and Blue. Of course, if you could see the whole whale you could spot other characteristics, like the big pectoral fins. These colossal animals don't have teeth. They have filtering elements in their mouth instead of them. That's why true whales are far from Orcas, which have teeth and can be considered closer to dolphins.

  The coin reproduces a lot of the necessary characteristics of the Humpback Whale. The artist Adam William Ball (AWB signature in the coin) did a good job on that. While watching a review about the coin on YouTube, the guy found some artistic errors which on my end doesn't matter a bit lol. The coin is split in two. A whale jumping out of the sea and a mother with two calves in the second half. The guy on the video noticed that the water splashed and the clouds were "cartoonish". The elements aren't in a real way. The clouds look like cotton candies like child cartoons. Another critic was where is the second half of the whale jumping? it should have appeared underwater. Removing all these artistic critics this Royal Australian Min coin is beautiful with no doubt. On the obverse of the coin, you can find Queen Elizabeth II and her reign period between 1952 and 2022.

  So I am still very thankful to @dfinney (I could use her user in here every day). If you read this part, maybe you can help me decide what gift I should present myself. Yeah, I am a June bug and I want some silver. I have been talking with some friends who sell silver at the SGS community. And they talk a lot about smart stackers. This term is essentially for those who buy an ounce of silver or gold pretty close to their real price.

  However, some very interesting pieces are sometimes double or triple the real price. Because their price is influenced by rarity and art. Most of them will be impossible to resell for the same value. One example was that 1oz from Canada with that dinosaur skull. Right now you can't find any below 150 CAD, I bought over the premium around 70 CAD. After I posted my top wish list gold two weeks ago, I found the 2023 version of that collection of Greek Ancient on "sale" but its sale price is 180 CAD. Too expensive for 1 oz Silver. But for example, 2022, and 2021 are very difficult to find nowadays, and it will be for this one for sure. However, I could buy maybe 3 to 4 regular 1oz silver with the same money...what do you think about it?

Quando eu estava trabalhando com observação de baleias e golfinhos durante a universidade, lembro-me de testemunhar sua migração em Arraial do Cabo. Dezenas de baleias estavam nadando na direção norte. Os respingos e os jatos de água eram incríveis. Foi a época em que vi baleias em um único dia. Depois de alguns anos, levei minha esposa (namorada na época) para o mesmo local durante uma temporada similar e também vimos algumas migrando.

  Para aqueles que não sabem muito sobre como diferenciar baleias em geral. Essas baleias são fáceis de identificar. Bem, se você estiver em um barco, verá sua cauda ao mergulhar, que é preta e branca. Também durante sua natação, você pode avistar sua pequena nadadeira no topo de uma corcova nas costas. Essas diferenças já são suficientes para diferenciar de baleias semelhantes como Finn, Minke e Azul. Claro, se você pudesse ver a baleia inteira, poderia observar outras características, como as grandes nadadeiras peitorais. Esses animais colossais não têm dentes. Eles têm elementos filtrantes em suas bocas no lugar deles. É por isso que as verdadeiras baleias estão longe das Orcas, que têm dentes e podem ser consideradas mais próximas dos golfinhos.

  A moeda reproduz muitas das características necessárias da Baleia Jubarte. O artista Adam William Ball (assinatura AWB na moeda) fez um bom trabalho nisso. Enquanto assistia a uma análise sobre a moeda no YouTube, o cara encontrou alguns erros artísticos que, na minha opinião, não importam nem um pouco rs. A moeda é dividida em duas. Uma baleia pulando para fora do mar e uma mãe com dois filhotes na segunda metade. O cara do vídeo percebeu que as águas salpicadas e as nuvens eram "cartunescas". Os elementos não estão de uma forma real. As nuvens parecem algodão doce como desenhos animados infantis. Outra crítica foi: onde está a segunda metade da baleia pulando? deveria ter aparecido debaixo d'água. Removendo todas essas críticas artísticas, esta moeda Royal Australian Mint é linda, sem dúvida. No anverso da moeda, você pode encontrar a Rainha Elizabeth II e seu período de reinado entre 1952 e 2022.
