Staying in a Vegan House for a week.

Tomorrow I am getting an airplane to visit my brother in Hamilton, Ontario. Last year in December, he visited me and I posted about his different restrictions. He is a vegan, and we had to adapt a bit to receive him, but in the end, everything was fine. Now we are going to his house so rules are a bit stricter since it is his territory. So how I am going to deal with it?

He already warned me about products that I am bringing to his home, which is a bit annoying from my point of view. However, he changed a bit since last year and he is introducing meat to his home 3 days a week since one of his children had some nutritional problems detected. And I changedmy diet a bit as well after having some Cholesterol level problems, so I decided to reduce red meat from my diet. Sometimes I don't eat any meat, but I stay basically with chicken and fish most of the days and eat red meat once or twice.
Meat consumption, in my point of view, is bad in the two extremities, all-day meat consumption ( especially red meat) and no meat at all are bad. We know that every day cow meat consumption is bad for our body, can increase cancer risk in our intestines, for example, and contributes to a bad meat industry that is devastating forests in the world. But no meat at all is also bad in general, since we need vitamins and nutrients such as vitamin B12 and Omega-3 that are more easily found in animals, especially the EPA and DHA types of Omega-3.
Well, it is a totally different way of living, going full vegan. There are some conditions that I would need more information on, such as extreme gout or Chronic Kidney Disease. And I am ok with that, even if my family continues eating regularly. Nowadays, even sometimes my wife decides to make a nice steak, I decide to avoid it if I think I've already too much cow meat in the week. It is all about discipline, but I wouldn't go full vegan without any health recommendations.

Our health and the world's health are affected by all that we eat. So a balanced food intake is important to regulate that. Extremes on both sides are bad unless your body is asking for it. For sure, we feel desires to eat something that we like, but our discipline of keeping our health can be a louder voice

That will be a rough week going all vegan, I couldn't do it! Meat all the time is a bad thing too, I use it sparingly and prefer fish more than any others these days. I hope you and your family are doing great!
Merry Christmas!
Take advantage that you live in the fish paradise 😅! In LA I ate very good fish
Think of it as a detox week and try something different. You never know, you might like it. And if you end up really hungry, say you're going out for a walk and go to MacDonalds 🙃
Have a great Christmas with you family!
I am pretty open to any type of food! Well tonight since we are going to take an airplane early we are eating in a cantonese restaurant . The only thing open around here hehee
The setting looks so familiar! My favourite dish is beef fried rice noodles 😄
Happy holidays by the way 😬

Also think that the extremes are very bad. However if you take care about the nutrients it pretty possible to live without meat.

Good luck!
