Where the market is heading

The cryptocurrency market is currently experiencing a significant downturn, with many digital assets/currencies experiencing a decline in value and bloodshed is observed everywhere in the market. This situation can be attributed, in part, to the ongoing concerns surrounding the SEC, which have had a negative impact on the market as a whole. Consequently, various projects built on Blockchain technology, including the Hive Blockchain, have also been affected by current market downturn.

@splinterlands, a play2earn project built on the Hive Blockchain. Within the Splinterlands ecosystem, there are secondary tokens, and the SPS token is one of them. SPS token serves as a governance token and at present has limited use case in the game ecosystem. Unfortunately, the SPS token has also been adversely affected by the continuous decline in market price (and some other factors also). While it had maintained a price of $0.02 for an extended period but in the past week, it has experienced a further decrease, with a new bottom price of $0.017.

Rental Market

Splinterlands offers multiple avenues for players to earn various tokens within the game. Through engaging in battles, players have the opportunity to acquire SPS (Splinterlands Governance Token), Merits, Reward Cards, and Packs as part of the ranked play system. Additionally, players can earn tokens through the Daily Loot Chest feature and Season End Rewards.

One notable feature of Splinterlands is its Rental system, which presents an additional means of earning DEC (Dark Energy Crystal) and SPS. This system allows players to rent out their spare cards to other players, enabling them to generate tokens from their unused card inventory. Simultaneously, this rental system facilitates access to more powerful cards for players seeking to enhance their competitiveness by temporarily utilizing higher-tier cards through renting. The Rental system not only incentivizes players to utilize their spare cards efficiently but also fosters a more inclusive and dynamic gameplay environment. By enabling players to access stronger cards through rentals, the system enhances the overall competitiveness and strategic depth of the game.

There are some other projects like splex.gg that aim to enhance the rental management aspect of gaming account. The decrease in market value and demand for certain tokens and assets has resulted in a reduction in the earnings potential of spare cards.

Previously, my spare cards were earning over 1500 DEC per day, but unfortunately, the current circumstances have limited daily earnings to around 250 DEC or even less. This decline in earnings can be attributed to the overall market conditions, where market prices and demand for gaming assets have decreased.

The price of the cards as well as the other game assets may be low at present but I am sure this will not be the condition always. The market condition will improve and this will create the positive effect on game also. As the market stabilizes and recovers, there is potential for improved rental earnings in the future.

Final Conclusion

Their are some events on the way within the game ecosystems as well as the outer market which will surely improve the game asset condition. Hope the upcoming Bitcoin halving will create good impact on the market and the upcoming Land Production will improve the game asset condition also. The market will show the Bull run soon and the condition will be improved.

In the meantime, it may be worth exploring other strategies or opportunities within the gaming ecosystem to optimize earnings and adapt to the current market conditions. As the market evolves, it's essential to stay informed, make informed decisions, and explore new avenues for maximizing your gaming assets value.
