Conclave Arcana Arrives: Major Changes Hit Splinterlands Gameplay

The new series Conclave Arcana has finally arrived and players used the same on the grounds of Praetoria. The series comes with some major changes in the game, the summoners are not called summoners anymore, they are Archon now because the players are the summoners. The second is the change of editions o cards available for the modern and wild format. If you are playing in the Modern format then this season onwards the Rebellion and Conclave Arcana editions are now the only ones available to play in the modern format. This is the one of the biggest update and many player may be disappointed as they will not be able to use the Chaos Legion (CL) edition cards in the modern format. But yes they may have the option to shift in the wild format but he wild format game play comes with a cost and i.e. 2k credits or DEC token. This is the reason the update is huge. I always mentioned that I love those changes team do in the game as they become the reason of joy and excitement among the players.

If you want to try the wild format then this is best season as the entry in the wild is free for this season. Yes no need to pay for the wild pass. So if you have not tried then just go for it. I am always a wild format player and every season spend the SPS and convert it into the DEC to play the wild pass entry. Those changes will effect the brawl play also. I may get let change in those fray which are more like the modern cards.

Game progress

I was battling in the Diamond III league at the time when I was drafting the post and yes I a playing in the wild format. This season I am able to unlock the Diamond league early as compare to the previous seasons. We still have more then 11 days in season ending and I am already in the Diamond league that is awesome. till now earned more then 70k glints tokens (including both ranked play as well as the reason end rewards)
I am battling in the Diamond III league now (please see the above screenshot). Only 60 more rating points are required to unlock the next league i.e Diamond II League. The Glint boost is at x 8.21 and with each winning battle I am getting the 429 Glints.

Opening the Conclave Arcana Pack

To be honest I was very excited for the Conclave Arcana presale as usual and was planning to purchase at least 80 Alchemy Packs so tat can ensure the at least one Black Foil card. Each Alchemy Pack cost approximately 12 USD and the total cost for 80 packs was a significant amount. I was arranging the fund but unfortunately during the last days of presale some real life priorities divert my attention and I completely forget the ending dat of presale. So yes I missed the presale. Never mind, but I still want to experience the excitement of opening the packs. So I purchased one Alchemy Pack.

Here are the screenshot of cards received form the pack opening.

As it was a Alchemy Pack so the one card was surely a Gold Foil card and to my goodness it was a rear Gold foil card. I spend 12 USD for pack purchase and the Market values of cards I pulled was approximately $5.42. It was loose of 50% value of the packs, but the excitement was 100% for sure.
