People are down voting the #leothreads. As soon as the rewards are going to be paid out. What is the point? What whales do is correct and what smaller account does is worng.. Is that only smaller account need to suffer here on #HIVE? Big whales are curating their project just posting the stats numbers and no one is downvoting their post? Can I ask why? I think #leo.voter account needs to get bigger here for an answer to all those post which are just stats and downvote them too as well... #leothreads #downvotestorm

they have always done this.
They want to milk the rewards pool for themselves. This is why Hive is dead.

They can’t downvote your Leo rewards.

I use to believe as a community we could grow and out power them.

Know I believe we should power down our Hive and load up on SURGE to speed up moving to BASE chain

It's one whale tied to blocktrades. They think that leo.voter is selling votes through premium.

LEO is favoring voting for authors based on money paid to LEO. This isn't hidden, it's out in the open. I've seen direct statements from Khal saying that the way to get more votes is to buy a subscription, for example:

They're not really wrong, but they are like the pot calling the kettle black. The best way for HIVE and LEO both to win would be for Hive to change their tokenomics as Leo did! Hive whales will likely not do that. 🤣

They have a point but it's how you deal with these situations that really counts. Both sides are huffing and puffing at each other over stupid issues and neither wants to deal with the other side.

Meanwhile they try to say that the other side is totally wrong and everything that they do is wrong for hive. Give out, and make everybody look unprofessional and brings down the reputations of everybody involved.

Both teams are trying to build great things here but they approach it in very different ways which causes this conflict.

It's more personal conflicts than anything else. Clashing personalities.

That’s not how premium works

Premium shows you in the feeds more which makes you more likely to get frequent curation. PeakD and Ecency both have the same “pay 4 visibility” mechanics — PeakD lets you straight up buy a slot and Ecency has points to promote yourself

We just do it through a recurring subscription

Also, the Alpha account isn’t a whale. It’s blocktrades’ alt account

I think all of this is going to be very interesting in a slightly morbid kind of way.

I personally would like for it all to work out and $LEO continue to use hive as the data blockchain, but am realistically unsure if we have the willpower.

It will take amassing a significantly larger HP stake all while potentially not recieving HP/HBD. Basically we would have to buy and power up lots and lots of $HIVE.

That will become easier and easier as the $LEO price rises, but will we want/commit to doing that? 🤣

I have not powered down or sold mine...yet.

We'll see.

I think it's a Win/Win situation in the long run for us:

  • Scenario 1: $LEO goes up, $HIVE goes down. We buy more $HIVE, gain more power, and change the status quo.
  • Scenario 2: $LEO goes down $HIVE goes up. We buy more LEO, do our best to improve LEO. We create scenario 1 by ourselves.
  • Scenario 3 $LEO and $HIVE stay the same compared to each other. We make services better, and create scenario 1.
  • Scenario 4: We're driven out of HIVE. We fork the chain. I doubt it'll come to this because...
  • Scenario 5: Every single content on LEO is downvoted to oblivion by HIVE community. It'll require massive HIVE Power that they'll either buy more $HIVE leading to Scenario 2, or becomes unsustainable for them, leading to Scenario 1 or Scenario 3.
  • Notice how I didn't even mention that they can't affect the LEO side of the rewards in my scenarios.

The only way I can see this going wrong if INLEO team really messed up the "Improving LEO" part, which I.
