An artificial ice rink had been erected for the winter season I am sure good fun was had by all.

I have only worn ice skates once in my life, tagging along in my teens by the squeeze that was current, she seemed impressed by my bragging about how good I was.

I mean it's fucking easy to ice skate, stand up and slide away. Torville and Dean? Phaaaarp.

Lets just say 15 seconds on the ice and I had spent most of it on my backside, the ice was wet my backside was wet. Think I muttered something like
"These fucking skates don't work", and headed off to the bar for a beer allowing her to pirouette with her mates to her hearts content.

The carousel was not too popular, all them 'orses and no riders, 'twas time to head back into the domes to warm up.

Not only were there light displays but they were synchronised to music....Christmas Music...Christmas Music re mixed to thumping 70's disco music

My old mucker Dionysus was sure enough shaking his stuff to the beat.

Hanging around long enough to see the colour changes, was my excuse, though secretly I was delaying the damn long walk back to the car, I mean if you is at the bottom of a 160 ft hole in the ground, its gonna be all uphill geting out again

and I want my bag of fish and chips
