Just monuments. Bratislava
The Morový stĺp, or Plague Column, is a monument nestled in the on Fish Square in Old Town Bratislava.
Erected in 1713, to commemorate the end of the plague that had struck the city the previous year,just under 4,000 inhabitants died with a further 1,500 infected.
The column features sculptures of some saints, now the perfect resting place for some of the very large and fat rats with tails who frequent the square
Memorial of the Bulgarian Partisans
The Slovak National Uprising, was organised by the Slovak resistance movement, directed against the German invasion of Slovakia which began in August 1944, the memorial is to 50 Bulgarian nationals who joined the cause

To commemorate the Slovak National Uprising of 1944; a revolt against Nazi rule during World War II. The piece was unveiled in 1974 on the 30th anniversary

Interesting story of how the plague took over Bratislava is always nice to know what is behind the construction of statues, so you become familiar with their environment and have interesting things to tell the new generations.
