Blog Post: Enough with the Israel Blame Game—Let’s Tackle the Real Threats

I’m done with the nonsense. People keep pointing fingers at Israel like it’s behind every mess in America, while China and Iran are working overtime to undermine us. Worst of all, Iran’s proxies have killed hundreds of our troops, yet we’re stuck whining about a small ally. It’s time to cut through the garbage, lay out the facts, and focus on what’s actually hitting us where it hurts.

Iran’s Killing Our Soldiers

Iran’s been a nightmare for our military, arming militias that go after U.S. troops. During the Iraq War (2003–2011), Iran-backed groups took out at least 603 American soldiers with vicious weapons like explosively formed penetrators (EFPs), built to rip through our armored vehicles, according to Pentagon reports (Washington Post, 2020). General David Petraeus called it out, saying Iran’s fingerprints were all over these attacks (chatter from users like @farzanehhosein1 on X, 2025). Between 2023 and 2024, Iran’s proxies launched over 200 attacks on our forces in Iraq and Syria, though we don’t have confirmed deaths from those (Council on Foreign Relations, 2025). In June 2025, Iran fired missiles at our Al Udeid base in Qatar, but thankfully, Patriot defenses stopped any casualties (BBC, 2025). Iran’s the real threat here—why are we wasting time blaming Israel?

Israel’s Not the Bad Guy

Israel’s got nukes—somewhere between 80 and 400 warheads, built to survive in a rough neighborhood (Federation of American Scientists, 2023). If they were out to conquer or destroy, they’d have made their move by now. They haven’t. That’s not aggression; that’s holding back. Meanwhile, Iran’s racing for nuclear weapons and funding chaos through groups like Hezbollah and Hamas (U.S. Institute of Peace, 2024). Why are we dogpiling Israel when Iran’s stirring the pot?

Look at Gaza. Israel pulled out in 2005, tearing down settlements and even digging up graves to hand the land over to Palestinians (BBC, 2005). What did they get? Hamas won elections in 2006, took control, and turned over $20 billion in aid into rockets and tunnels while their people struggle (UNRWA, 2023; Al Jazeera, 2025). Hamas bigwigs live like billionaires in Qatar, stashing cash while Gazans go hungry (Forbes, 2024). Sure, Israel’s blockade doesn’t make things easier, but Hamas choosing war over rebuilding is what’s really crushing Gaza.

AIPAC and Aid: Not Running the Show

Some folks act like AIPAC’s got America on a leash. Let’s get real: AIPAC spent $3.7 million on lobbying in 2023, a measly 1% of the $4 billion total lobbying cash in the U.S. (OpenSecrets.org, 2023). Their PAC money? About 5% of all PAC funds. They’ve got influence, but they’re not calling the shots. And U.S. aid to Israel? It’s $3.8 billion a year, mostly for defense, out of a $70 billion foreign aid budget—that’s barely 5% (Congressional Research Service, 2023). That’s pocket change for an ally in a tough spot. So why the meltdown over a sliver of our budget?

China and Iran: The Ones to Watch

While we’re busy bashing Israel, China and Iran are making moves. China’s funneled over $1.1 billion into our universities, often under the table, to push their agenda through things like Confucius Institutes (U.S. Department of Education, 2020). Iran’s hitting us with cyberattacks and backing groups that go after our allies (FBI, 2023). They’re not picking teams in our political circus—they’re just stoking the chaos to weaken us.

And those big debates in our schools—critical race theory, transgender advocacy, so-called “cultural Marxism”? Israel’s got nothing to do with them. I’ve looked, and there’s no sign Tel Aviv’s bankrolling CRT, which kicked off with U.S. scholars back in the 1970s, or transgender advocacy, pushed by groups like GLAAD (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, 2023; GLAAD, 2024). That $6 billion “indoctrination” story floating around? Complete baloney—nothing backs it up. China’s tossing money at universities, sure, but it’s for their own propaganda, not these issues (Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, 2019). These fights are coming from our own backyard, not some foreign plot.

What about those anti-American protests or open-border talk? No evidence says Israel’s paying for them. Some folks on X claim China or Iran might be funding protests, but there’s no hard proof—just a lot of hot air (chatter on X, 2025). Open borders? That’s our own mess, not a foreign conspiracy.

Conservatives Need to Get It Together

It drives me up the wall to see conservatives I used to respect fall for this anti-Israel nonsense. I’ve seen posts on X blaming Israel’s U.S. ties for everything that’s wrong here (chatter on X, 2025). But mainstream outlets like Fox News still call Israel a key ally against Iran (Fox News, 2024). Why are we letting loudmouths on the fringes drown out common sense? If we think Israel’s our biggest headache, we’re not thinking straight, and we’re playing right into our enemies’ hands.

Focus on What’s Real

Iran’s killed 603 of our troops in Iraq alone. China’s sneaking into our schools. Israel’s not the one stirring up propaganda, bankrolling protests, or causing our domestic chaos. The facts—aid numbers, lobbying stats, casualty reports—back this up. So why are we chasing this Israel distraction? Are we just clueless, or are we getting played?

It’s time to zero in on the real threats: China’s espionage, Iran’s proxies. Anything else is just a sideshow, and we can’t afford to keep falling for it.
