Grateful for Our Daily (and Weekly) Bread

Today is the day we clean up the house. After breakfast, we have a 15 minute cleanup, but on Friday it's a 30 minute cleanup.

It's a routine that has helped keep our home clean and tidy, just a set-aside time to get everything cleaned up everyday, before starting school-work.

My daughter braided the bread today and it turned out beautifully! Mom was explaining how the bread rises by itself and why we put "eggwash" over the top of it - although we're saving the egg for now so no eggwash for now.

Once it's baked, we have a delicious bread to welcome in the Holy evening of rest.

Baking your own bread is fun and something that children will appreciate. Watching the dough turn into bread is very satisfying. I even watch making bread on youtube 😀

What a wonderful skill to learn....your daughter did a lovely job with the braiding of the bread.

There is nothing so contributive as routine to a well ordered household.
