Shayi Vs Tea, The Real Lovers Of Tea// LOH Contest #279.

Let's get this down before we mover forward, we have what we call shayi in Hausa and we have tea in English, yess just keep following me we would get there soon, so when we say "shayi" we mean that kind of watery tea that those Mai shayi use to do where by the put Lipton in a very big pot with much water inside and place it on a charcoal pot for it to keep boiling and boiling so that when ever they need the water it would still be boiling, so yess they take the hot Lipton and then put enough sugar floating inside with either a sachet of any milk of your choice or a spoon of powdered milk, then they begin to mix it and make it less hotter by turning it into two different cups almost immediately.

While tea in English is those ones we make in our homes though not all homes because not all homes had the luxury of affording that kind of tea for much population of people residing in that house, tea is mixed with Lipton and a little quantity of hot water with enough spoon of milk or perhaps sachet milk and then Milo or another 3in1 sachet, after which it's been stirred and taken with a very thick and Luffy bread, yess that what we call tea here in Nigeria and the idea of this kind of tea is that the water is just minimum so that it can be very thick and sweet, most atimes because of its thickness you still find some substance of milk or Milo particles in it.

In my home back then we don't usually make tea very often because according to my mother it's not good it's just appetizer which would not bellyful you, so she feel that preparing it most atimes is like waste of money to her because she also spends lot of money just to make it, so we rather eat sometimes else but for me if am picking over coffee or tea drink I would say I am going for tea because so far it's just tea I am used to and I have tasted more often, for coffee I might have taken it just once or twice and the one I took wasn't coffee coffee maybe just a replica of it.

I like my tea to be prepared as the English tea is begin pronounced 😁 and ad I have illustrated above but please let's not forget or mistakenly minus the part of a thick fluffy bread by the side of that thick sweet tea, if you take this one you would probably forget your surname for a minute because you would be in paradise sister, yeah just kidding but an sure you would enjoy it, and you can say I am a lover of tea which implies that you can add that to my favorite list because I don't joke with it even though on a normal we don't get this kind of luxury everytime it comes maybe once in awhile.
