Dreams born out of innocence...
Good day wonderful people, hope your day is going on well, this is the first contest topic in this month for this community so am saying a happy new month, this is me ushering you all in to greatness, open doors, favours and many more packages that awaits you. I would be participating on the contest topic: childhood dreams...
Back in those days when we were not particularly having much to worry about, when we were actually dependant on other people, when we just play alot eat in excess went to school and sleep at will during the day, yea I was actually describing what childhood looked like to me, in those times I dreamt dreams not actually dreams where you have to sleep first before dreaming but about dreams where you are much awake imagining, planning, mapping out the way our lives would take shape even before they began, so in my words I would say I dreamt, yes I really dreamt big big dreams.
My dreams was to finish secondary school at the age of sixteenth (16th) go to the university at the age of seventeen (17th) then graduate at the age of twenty one (21), go for my youth service and finish at the age of twenty two (22), I was not even thinking of furthering to masters PHD or any thing else that is to show you a child's mentality how I did not even know that aspect, so I said when I finish my services I would be working looking forward to establishing my self and May be at the age of twenty four or twenty five (24/25) I should be thinking of getting married, isn't this plan so perfect 😁✌️.
But no Nigeria said they had a bigger plan for me, you know this thing they said about you graduating as a certified doctor but end up doing okada to make ends meet, my own case was from problems with WAEC results to having issues with admission to all kinds of frustrating issues which lead me to learn a skill but truth be told acquiring of that skill was not totally my idea it was my mom that talked me in to it even though at that time that was not what was in my mind all I wanted at that time was to go to school but finally I decided to learn that skill called tailoring got done with it and I would never forget to appreciate that woman who saw the best for me and kept pushing till I get there which made me now a seamstress🪡✂️🧵.
Well apart from the me planning down my life with me tagging the years assumed to finish I also wanted to be a lawyer I think at that time I did not know what was my drive but I know I always kept singing it and saying it to every ears that cared to listen that I wanted to be a lawyer but as God could have it I did not accomplish that dream but I know that if there is life there certainly should be hope, I see people acquiring more than two certificate in different field of life so am working towards studying it after am done with what am studying now, if I have the opportunity I would want to study it but I know all hope is not lost yet I still have a long way to go.
Haven said all of that I would want to say all hope is not lost for a y one out there who thinks he or she has deviated from their dreams whether willing or forcefully and are still wishing they would have gone through that path, it is not too late because if there is life there is hope, I in person had dreams back in those days and growing up I have advanced in my dreams, I have set out more to accomplish and my earnest prayer is that nothing would cut me short 🙏.
It has been such a lovely time with you all, thank you for reading thank you for commenting and thank you for voting, it is because of such love that keeps me pushing, I still remain your favorite girl@graceze do have a lovely month ahead.
I love this...
The truth is life rarely follow our childhood script.
Its amazing how you are now a seamstress. Many of us, while growing up, we had very great plans and well detailed dream we are aspiring for, but the tough realities wouldn't allow us to...all hope is not lost though.
Thanks for sharing.
🤗🤝🤗
Awwwwwn 🤗🤭 thank you, even though at first I never liked it but am glad I did later.
Thank you for reading.
Thats good of you.
Keep it up.
Very much welcome ma'am.
🤗🥰🤗
we always wish to achieve our dreams but the challenges must of us experience intend to be the stopping block but still all hope isn't lost since there is still life for more trials.
Exactly there's still life so definitely there's hope, the challenges are always there but that would not be where we will stop, thank you very much for stopping by 😘
I am here wishing I have a skill even after graduating, and you are wishing you had gone to school only to be given a paper after being frustrated for years by the school system. The funniest thing is that you will most likely need to go into business or acquire a skill eventually if you want to escape poverty in this country, only very few escape poverty working for another in this country.
😂😂😂😂 is so funny how you said the escape poverty but some times it is our reality, don't worry learning a skill now is not too late.
It is how it is for me ooo😀
And I am doing everything possible to get pass that by all means
Me that I was planning to buy a car before age 21😅😅😅
Good dreams but the country is not encouraging at all😅
😂😂😂😂😂😂 really...
Your dreams are valid, just adjust your date of age in your dreams nothing spoil...
Thank you ma'am
I want to know if you will be able to work hard to achieve the goals you have seen now, or will you just let your dreams remain like this and not try to connect them to reality?
Well fortunately for me the pushing force is still there, the drive to achieve higher is in me so am working on achieving my goals even though it means me working more than my age mates, in the long run am looking forward to reconnect them to my reality.. thank you for asking 👍
Life usually happens sometimes and our plans don't go as expected, good that you surmount the courage to learn tailoring...
Btw, there's a tailoring community you can engage in and show us your craft..

C/Hive Diy*
Check out these communities, read their rules and regulations, explore and have fun..
Thank you very much for the recommendation I would be looking forward to that even though in school here I don't have any of my crafts to follow up with but I would definitely look into that Sir, I appreciate.
Life doesn't have a script my Dear.
Just keep doing your best wherever you find yourself.

It's so funny how we would plan our life, and life turns out to have a different plan for us. But it's a good thing that you learned a skill. I wish I did, because currently education in this part of the world is a mess
Life just know how to play a trick on us but I guess we learn how to make a beautiful meaning out of it. Thank you very much
