A Blueprints For Friendship; Studying, Laughter And Support.

Hello everyone, I go by the name graceze and this would be my first post here, I was so happy when I came across this community in somebody's post, it was more like I am home now because I get to connect with students like me and we share experiences together which can be of help to many of us still struggling with one aspect of our life in school where you have already overcome, so please welcome me warmly with your sweet comments.

It was the first day a lecturer entered our class as the semester began and we were asked to select who amongst us would be the course representative, so as the lecturer left the class nobody stood up to conduct the supposed election maybe because of shyness or intimidation, I actually don't know what it was but I knew they all wore baby faces at that point so the bravest amongst them stood up and decided to conduct it, immediately they class picked him to be the course representative since he was brave enough to stand up he would be brave enough to lead them (so they thought) and that brave person is Raphael so inorder to finish the election process a female had to be elected for the assistant course representative.

That was when they pointed me, it was at that point Raphael came to my desk and with a smiley plus childish face asked for my full name and phone number, after they whole thing was settled we walked to the school gate discussing about the position been given to us, our meeting in my own view was both dramatic and natural because it was unexpected. This friendship has been more than I expected infact I didn't know that we would be this close but I am grateful we are, apart from the course representative relationship we may seem to have, we read together after the end of lectures for the day though not only but with some other individuals but we are more like the tutors in that study group, we do most assignment together and it was actually because of him I first went to the library, he dragged me there just to sit and watch him browse his assignment even though I wasn't interested and because if that I continued going there on my own.

One time like that he left me in school and went home to do something and when he was coming back to meet us in school so we can read for that day he brought a plate of hot sweet Jollof rice because he knew I would be hungry and just that little gestures meant everything to me, together we became the best version of ourselves academically due to our studying together and prompting each other to do better, there was a time I noticed he was beginning to lack behind in studies because of this course representative duties and I quarreled him that day that he was beginning to play and that was not the Raphael I know, according to him after I said that to him that day it sparked something in him and things changed for the better, for the aspect of spiritually I could remember last semester before exams we held prayer sections twice with the whole study group and after exams we also prayed which was very encouraging to me because I brought the ideas of prayers before exams and he accepted it wholeheartedly.

Even on this three months holiday that we are in which seems like forever we still chat and call each other on phone, he is mostly the one doing the calling and I believe that even after graduation this friendship wouldn't just fade away because of distance. The very special reason why this friendship still means something to me is because there's this eagerness to learn between us and this genuine care that exists, sometimes I see him quarreling me for something I did just because he wants me to be better and much more he advices me when he feels it's necessary.

I wouldn't have asked for someone better, a big shout out to all those out there who are our friends and they truly wants the best for us. Thank you for reading through with me I hope it was worth the wait, hoping to see you next time.
