About me:
Let me tell you a little about myself because every story deserves to shared, right? I’m proud fulltime elementary teacher here in the Philippines, and I’ve been nurturing young minds as a permanent teacher for 12 fulfilling years. But the road to this stability wasn’t easy. Before securing my permanent position, I served as substitute teacher for 5 long years, waiting and sacrificing, hoping that my dedication would one day bear fruit. The journey was tough filled with challenges that tested my patience, but it was worth every tear and sleepness night. Teaching isn’t just my profession; it’s my passion, my calling, and my purpose.

By day, I teach enthusiastic elementary learners, for now we have on 30 day uninterrupted vacation and by night, I once juggled another role as an ESL teacher. For a year, I worked tirelessly, tutoring students with different nationality to support my father’s medical expenses. During those difficult times, I poured my heart into helping my father as much as I could. I was there for every attack, every emergency, doing my duty as a loving daughter. But life is so uncertain you can never predict or control what happens next. Despite my efforts, there came a moment when I had to accept that no amount of love or care could change the inevitable. It was heartbreaking when he is gone, but it also reminded me to treasure every fleeting moment, next time I will share my story about this.

Beyond the classroom, I’m also a mom of two brilliant, intelligent and loving children. They are my greatest motivation, my constant source of strength, my loudest cheerleaders. Every smile they flash reminds me why I strive so hard in life to give them a future filled with opportunities, love, and dreams come true.

But life isn’t always a fairy tale. As the family’s breadwinner, I’ve shouldered the weight of our financial struggles. Supporting loved ones comes with joys, but also heartbreaks, especially when sacrifices go unnoticed. Sometimes, the things I’ve done the nights spent working, the tears cried in silenced, the dreams I’ve put on hold feel invisible to those I love the most. But I’ve learned that appreciation isn’t always loud; it’s found in the quiet moments, in the small acts of love, and in knowing that I’ve done my best, even when the odds were against me.

I wouldn’t be here without the encouragement of my friend antonette, who onboarded me to hive. We connected through facebook, and she generously shared her knowledge about this incredible platform. Her support gave me the courage to step into this vibrant community and start my journey of self-expression and connection.

Why did I join Hive?

Writing and reading have always been my greatest passions. They are my escape, my therapy, and my way making sense of the world. Hive provides me with a space where I can express the real me, raw unfiltered, and authentic. It’s a place where creativity no bounds, and I’m excited to be a part of this thriving ecosystem wow....

What can hive expect from me?

Well aside from the honest, heartfelt stories about my journey as a teacher, a mom, and a dreamer. It’s pieces of my writing will inspire, connect and resonate with my very own experience which others can relate also. I share this not to seek pity, but to show the real, raw journey of someone who juggles roles, dreams, and responsibilities. Life may not always be easy, but it’s beautiful and I’m here to celebrate the beauty, one story at a time.
