Waiting...
I have been reminiscing of that period when someone is not really "there", he is just anticipating for a feedback to to get his life in order. It could be the period after one exam, awaiting result or awaiting resumption. The period after a job application, or the period while waiting for a visa application or a scholarship, the list goes on.
We all experienced it, we will all experience it. From time to time, between one phase and the next.
What do you do with your waiting period? How do you prepare for the next phase. A lot is dependent on this.
Your attainable height, your sustainable depth. How prepared are you?
Sometimes the distinction is mild and the transition, seamless. Regardless, there is a transition and as such the approach would usually be different or the expectations altered.

For the purpose of growth, we ought to make the best of this period. For success, we need to maximise this period, even if not clearcut as I already stated.
I have come to realise that our waiting period is decided by our optimism or pessimism. They are the deciders of how we utilise this period.
For some, they believe it would be positive and hence begin to prepare in accordance. While some have doubts and these doubts hinders progress.
It is important to know that regardless of our optimistic/pessimistic attitude, it bears little or no influence on the actual outcome, rather it only has an influence over our own preparation.
I remember when I applied for a role in a company, I prepared thoroughly because I strongly believed I would get the job, but I didn't. Now my preparation was not a waste, the skills gathered were still mine.
Few weeks later, a similar opportunity came up but this time on a shorter notice and in a bigger company. I had little interest and belief this time around but a friend encouraged me to submit my application, "it doesn't cost anything" she said. Long story short, I landed this one and I was well prepared for it, needless to say I was outstanding in the role. This is because of how I utilised my waiting period and of course my friends push.
I also remember a time I applied for a scholarship that was dependent on humanitarian activities, my chances were very slim because of the population that applied and I never really took pictures of my activities, but while waiting, even though I was pessimistic, I kept on preparing and began to take pictures because it was a requirement. I was able to narrowly make it.

It's important that regardless of what we are waiting for, regardless of our perceived chances, we should strive to be prepared. It never hurts to be prepared, it can only be advantageous.
I do hope this helps someone who is undergoing a waiting period in their life.
Thanks for stopping by.
Good luck on your project.
Thanks so much, appreciated
