I don't know if many of you know this, but there is a theory that the meteorite that ended the life of the dinosaurs fell in the Chiuxulub area, which is very close to the beaches of Progreso Yucatan.

True or not, the state government of the Port of Progreso created a museum based on that, inside we can see some of the remains and some evidence to support the theory, unfortunately they do not let you take pictures or video inside but I bring you some pictures of the sculptures that are exhibited on the outside.

I have also included some photos of my walk along the Malecon in Progreso which is one of my favorite places where I always enjoy a lot with my family.

One of the last photos, the one of the white building is the well known cake house that lately has been converted into a luxurious restaurant and serves gourmet dishes and the most select of the Progreseña society, I really wanted to visit it but only a simple drink has a price of about 12 USD and not to mention the dishes they serve, the prices are sky high, I liked what they have done with the place, but for the moment I prefer to refrain from visiting.

No sé si muchos lo sepan pero existe la teoría de que en la zona de Chiuxulub que es muy cercana a las playas de Progreso Yucatán cayó el meteorito que acabó con la vida de los dinosaurios.

Verdad o no, el gobierno del estado del Puerto de Progreso creo un museo basado en eso, en su interior podemos ver algunos de los vestigios y algunas pruebas que respaldan la teoría, lastimosamente no dejan tomar fotos ni video en el interior pero les traigo algunas fotos de las esculturas que se exhiben en la parte de afuera.

También he incluido algunas fotos de mi caminata por el Malecón de Progreso que es uno de mis sitios favoritos donde siempre que voy disfruto mucho con mi familia.

Una de las últimas fotos, la del edificio color blanco es la conocida casa del pastel que últimamente lo han convertido en un lujoso restaurante y sirven platos gourmet y se da cita lo más selecto de la sociedad Progreseña, a mi se me antojó mucho visitarlo pero solo una bebida sencilla tiene un precio de unos 12 USD y ni que decir de los platos que sirven, están los precios por los cielos, me ha gustado lo que han hecho con el lugar, pero por el momento prefiero abstenerme de conocerlo.
