Greetings dear friends lovers of architecture and design, I hope you are enjoying an excellent day full of blessings and well-being.

In this opportunity I want to show you images of the cathedral of Guanare, which I took on a recent walk through the state of Portuguesa, taking advantage of a day in which we made a break in our work activities.

It was a holiday that was chosen to organize this tour of Guanare in the parish of San Jose where I do apostolic life with my wife @morepina and took us to several places among which we made a stop at the cathedral.

We left very early in the morning and after attending mass in the Coromoto Basilica, they took us to see this beautiful cathedral located in front of Bolivar Square in the city of Guanare.

The main facade of the cathedral is very striking with a predominance of white and ocher colors and is attached to the building corresponding to the episcopal palace. Both occupy a complete block.

The beautiful facade shows a tall bell tower on the right side and the three naves of access to the temple, guarded by three huge and elegant doors that give opening to this beautiful enclosure.

As we entered, we noticed that there were many people inside knowing the temple and others meditating and praying. There was a sense of peace in the atmosphere and we also sat on the bench for a while to meditate and give thanks for this opportunity.

Internally, the temple shows much harmony and splendor in the architectural design, matching the numerous ornaments carved in wood and ornaments typical of Catholic temples.

My attention was attracted by the confessionals made of wood and above an impressive image also carved in wood, a true work of art.

Large circular columns with decorated capitals join at the top with the beautiful arches that support a beautiful tongue and groove wood ceiling with excellent finishes.

On the sides there are beautiful stained glass windows with religious images, which give luminosity to the sunlight and generate beautiful images in the room.

The altar rises imposing on a porcelain floor and behind it the Holy Sacrament beautifully surrounded by images of the saints on a scarlet and golden background and at the top the Virgin of Coromoto, the patron saint of Guanare.

Just above the altar is the dome, beautifully decorated with paintings showing in the foreground the Virgin of Coromoto, the patron saint of Guanare.

We had the opportunity to go into the sacristy and admired the images behind the altar, beautifully decorated on a dark brown background. There they have a replica of the image of the virgin of Coromoto.

In summary, the cathedral of Guanare has been recently restored and presents very good finishes in porcelain tile floors, paint, ceilings and facades.
An ideal space for religious practice, meditation and prayer.

Conociendo la catedral de Guanare-Venezuela

Saludos estimados amigos amantes de la arquitectura y el diseño, espero que estén disfrutando de un excelente día lleno de bendiciones y bienestar.

En esta oportunidad quiero mostrarles imágenes de la catedral de Guanare, que tomé en un reciente paseo por el estado Portuguesa, aprovechando un día en que hicimos un alto en nuestras actividades laborales.

Fue un día feriado que se escogió para organizar este paseo por Guanare en la parroquia San José donde hago vida apostólica junto a mi esposa @morepina y nos llevaron a varios lugares entre los cuales hicimos un a parada en dicha catedral.

Salimos bien temprano en la mañana y luego de asistir a la misa en la basílica la Coromoto, nos llevaron a conocer esta hermosa catedral ubicada frente a la plaza Bolívar de la ciudad de Guanare.

La fachada principal de la catedral es muy llamativa con predominancia de colores blancos y ocres y está unida al edificio correspondiente al palacio episcopal. Ambos ocupan una cuadra completa.

La hermosa fachada muestra un alto campanario de lado derecho y las tres naves de acceso al templo, custodiadas por tres enormes y elegantes puertas que dan apertura a este hermoso recinto.

Al entrar nos dimos cuenta que había muchas personas adentro conociendo el templo y otras meditando y orando. Se sentía una paz en el ambiente y nosotros también nos sentamos en la banca un rato a meditar y agradecer por esa oportunidad.

Internamente. el templo muestra mucha armonía y esplendor en el diseño arquitectónico, haciendo juego con los numerosos adornos tallados en madera y los ornamentos propios de los templos católicos.

Llamó mucho mi atención los confesionarios elaborados en madera y encima una impresionante imagen tallada también en madera, una verdadera obra de arte.

Grandes columnas circulares con capiteles decorados se unen en la parte superior con los hermosos arcos que sostienen un hermoso techo de madera machihembrada con excelentes acabados.

En los laterales se observan hermosos vitrales de colores con imágenes religiosas, que al pasar la luz solar le dan luminosidad y generan imágenes preciosas dentro del salón

El altar se levanta imponente sobre un piso de porcelanato y detrás el santísimo hermosamente rodeado por imágenes de los santos en un fondo escarlata y dorado y en la parte alta la virgen de Coromoto, la patrona de Guanare.

Justo encima del altar se encuentra la cúpula, hermosamente decorada con pinturas donde aparece en primer plano la virgen de Coromoto rodeada por un fondo azul cielo y ángeles que danzan a su slrededor.

Tuvimos la oportunidad de pasar a la sacristía y admiramos las imágenes que están detrás del altar, hermosamente decoradas en un fondo marrón oscuro. Allí tienen una réplica de la imagen de la virgen de Coromoto.

En resumen, la catedral de Guanare ha sido restaurada recientemente y presenta muy buenos acabados en los pisos de porcelanato, pintura, techos y fachadas.
Un espacio ideal para la práctica religiosa, la meditación y la oración.
