Today I stop by to talk about a movie I saw in recent days called "about time" or as we know it in Venezuela "cuestión de tiempo" a story that captivated my attention precisely because of the final message it conveys.

Hoy paso por acá para hablarles sobre una película que vi en días pasados llamada "about time" o como la conocimos en Venezuela "cuestión de tiempo " una historia que cautivó mi atención precisamente por el mensaje final que nos transmite.

What if you had a gift inherited from your family that would allow you to go back in time and be able to repair or redo those situations that, in one way or another, have affected your current life? It would be wonderful, wouldn't it?

Well, that is precisely the story of Tim (Domhnall Gleeson),
a boy who at the age of 21 his father reveals a family secret: they can travel in time and relive stages of his life that were not very successful and that he can correct to build a better life, as he wishes.

¿Qué tal si tuvieras un don heredado de familia que te permitiera retroceder en el tiempo y poder reparar o rehacer aquellas situaciones que, de una u otra manera han afectado tu vida actual?. Será maravilloso ¿verdad?
Pues esa es precisamente la historia de Tim (Domhnall Gleeson),
un chico que a los 21 años su padre le revela un secreto de familia: pueden viajar en el tiempo y volver a vivir etapas de su vida que no fueron muy acertadas y que puede corregir para construir una mejor vida, tal como lo desea.

At first the young man is skeptical, but when he tries he realizes that it is true and that he can relive the past at any stage of his life, so he decides to use it for something good: to find the love of his life.

Gleeson is joined in the cast by such great talents as the beautiful Margot Robbie as Charlotte, Rachel McAdams as Mary and Bill Nighy as Tim's father.

Taking this to our real life, I think we would all agree that this would be a wonderful gift to solve many things that we would like to erase from the past and improve our future. I am also sure that many people would go crazy trying to become millionaires by betting on the races for example, knowing in advance the results.

But Tim was eager to meet the girl of his dreams with whom he would share his life and start a family, which seems to me a pretty smart use of the precious gift this shy boy possesses.

Llevando esto a nuestra vida real, creo que todos estaríamos de acuerdo en que este sería un maravilloso don para resolver muchas cosas que nos gustaría borrar del pasado y mejorar nuestro futuro. También estoy seguro que muchas personas se volverían locas tratando de hacerse millonarios apostando en las carreras por ejemplo, sabiendo de antemano los resultados.
Pero Tim estaba ansioso por conocer a la chica de sus sueños con quien compartiría su vida y formaría una familia, lo cual me parece un uso bastante inteligente del preciado don que posee este tímido muchacho.

Now, time management has always been a topic of discussion and we try to use it in the best way to make the most of it, but we know that things do not always go as we have planned.

It would be great to relive the past and change some things, but be careful, if we analyze the consequences of such actions we would quickly realize that it is as we say here: “a double-edged sword” because on the one hand we would be correcting an unpleasant situation for that moment, but this could cause changes in the future that would turn your life upside down.

Ahora bien, el manejo del tiempo siempre ha sido un tema de discusión y tratamos de utilizarlo de la mejor manera para aprovecharlo al máximo, pero sabemos que no siempre las cosas salen como las hemos planeado.
Sería genial volver a vivir el pasado y cambiar algunas cosas, pero ¡cuidado!.Si analizamos las consecuencias de tales acciones rápidamente nos daríamos cuenta que es como decimos aquí: "un arma de doble filo" porque por un lado estaríamos corrigiendo una situación poco agradable para ese momento, pero esto podría causar cambios en el futuro que le darían un vuelco a tu vida.

The film leads us to understand how difficult it is to control our actions and even if we go back in time many times to correct them, there will always be situations that are out of our hands and we have no control over them.

The final message that this movie left me with was that life will always be a box of surprises and that we should live each day with the same intensity as if it were our last day on earth. Although situations are gray and full of clouds, we must learn to live with them without letting them control our emotions and always think that this experience will serve to learn something positive.

I invite you to watch this movie that, without being a genius of the big screen, entertains you and teaches you to value what we have.

La película nos va llevando a entender cuan difícil es llevar un control de nuestras acciones y aunque retrocedamos el tiempo muchas veces para corregirlas, siempre habrán situaciones que se escapen de nuestras manos y no tengamos control sobre ellas.
El mensaje final que me dejó esta película fue que la vida siempre será una caja de sorpresas y que debemos vivir cada día con la misma intensidad como si se tratase de nuestro último día sobre la tierra. Aunque las situaciones sean grises y llenas de nubarrones, debemos a aprender a vivir con ellas sin dejar que eso controle nuestras emociones y pensar siempre que esa experiencia servirá para aprender algo positivo.
Te invito a ver esta película que, sin ser una genialidad de la gran pantalla, te entretiene y te enseña a valorar lo que tenemos.
