No you aren't overthinking it, your child is your responsibility and it's your right to help him choose what's right and wrong.
These days some authors now put in some private talks in books for kids to read, a friend of mind was reading her child's story book and found the part where the author talked about same sex parenting.
She had to talk the book away.
Not just books but also what they watch, if possible it's best we read those books before handling it over to them and sometimes watch the cartoons with them too.

Yeah, I'm glad you agree! It is for sure a wild territory out there.
I think it's important that these things that are NOT evolutionarily normal and historically part of the 99% of people be left out of it. They can write books on the specific subjects all they want, but leave the indoctrination out of the kids!!
