Gas Used in Place Of Petrol For generator.

Since the removal of fuel subsidy in Nigeria by the new president elect, price of food stuff, and other commodities have tripped in price. This new change has bring about hardship for the masses, high cost of living, transportation, and the likes and in our quest for survival lot of us keep creating new methods of doing things to save cost.

I remember one time, many house hold went into the use of charcoal to cook, saving them cost of kerosene that was high and almost unaffordable for the poor people.

Now here we are again trying to save both cost and also estimated bills from the power supply companies.
Here in Nigeria, power supply is so poor that we can stay almost a month with out a twinkle of light or even a blink and yet we keep paying monthly bills. Most household make do of generators to power there phones and do other things that they were supposed to use the light for.

But now with the resent hike in price of fuel, many people can't even afford it the cost of fuel is 650 Naira here in my area.

We all must survive, like the popular saying that it's only the hungry mind that grows, most Nigerians are now adopting the use of gas on their generator to avoid the use of fuel.

At first when I saw this in a betting shop near my area I was shocked, I became curious about it. Although I still have my reservation about it.
I make some findings about it and I was make to understand that the gas last more than fuel.
It's cost effective, using the gas is safer and prolong the life span of generators. According to people I talked to they said it reduces the frequent servicing and excessive carbon on the pistons and rings that cause the generator.
