As long as it still tastes ok then it is a win. It's all about learning though right? You aren't going to be the best on your first try. I saw a funny picture the other day that said "today could be the day that you decide to suck at something new."
I am a terrible cook but every now and then I manage to make something that tastes pretty great and those are fantastic days. The bad days? Well I just hope that it isn't disgusting.
