When My Goat Dreamed of Freedom

I could remember vividly one of the evenings like that in which I resided; my little goat was relaxing at the veranda of the house. My area was very silent as usual, with only the voices of the few passersby and sounds of moving cars. Then suddenly his stomach started going up and down so fast, the same as the ears and head, and it gave a little goat bleat while still sleeping. I looked at it and moved closer and imagined in my mind maybe he was trying to chase after those female goats that he always watched pass by through the gate.

Looking at what happened made me think that it might be very possible that all these animals might likely be dreaming just like we humans too. Maybe not about getting popular or our village people chasing us, but about times that they feel very special around other animals.

Looking at these animals, they recognize each other so well that they usually feel happy and playful when they are around each other. I have seen my goat give some unusual sounds, probably remembering those moments he was intimidated by other big goats in the neighborhood. That could be a dream recap too, maybe not just a good one.

I am kind of sure that our pets usually communicate to us that having emotions is not for us humans alone. Pets like dogs and cats do this often. They might not be able to open their mouths, but through their actions, we can vividly see it. And maybe that is why some of these pets bond with us so fast.

So, when next you see your dog or cat giving some signs when they are asleep, do not distract them because who knows if they are enjoying that happy dream where everything feels safe for them. And to be sincere, we humans also have those happy dreams that we wish would not end.

Thank you for reading.

Yes, I think these pets have their dreams and it revolves around some of the moments of them playing with their fellow animals. They are a beauty to watch in that state, and they should be left to enjoy their sweet dreams.

You are absolutely right...if only they can speak their dreams to us

All animals including humans dream and have feelings, so just same way we've emotions. They also do.

Truly, emotions are not for humans alone. These animals experience most of the things we experience too. If only they could speak our language, we would have heard a lot of shocking things from them

You are very correct, I always watch Brown our Cat with its various forms of movement while sleeping, from raising the legs up to turning around and making some mew sound while sleeping, like he is toasting some female cats.
