The Beautiful Bruise: How Failure Became My Catalyst

If there is one thing that I have learned over the course of time in life, is that no matter what, failure is not the end of a man, it might be painful, hurts deeply and it can be so personal at times, but always stick your head up, your chins high and press on like the champion you are. Although it might feel like a big disappointment, a smackdown, a huge shame, feels like it is the end for you, like silence where your voice used to echo. In reality, failure is part of life to achieve greater things if you do not give up. It is a detour, not a death sentence. And the truth is that every failure teaches a deep lesson if you pay close and enough attention, the lesson it brings might even sounds louder than success could ever bring.

The way our brain is naturally programmed for safety. Mentally and emotionally, we are all survivor and self-sufficient. As humans, we tend to drift and elude ourselves from physical n, emotional and financial pain. And this is one of the reasons why we are always so scared of failure. It tends to bring out our greatest fear—fear of being rejected, loss, insufficient, inadequate...

That is why if you ask someone, they'd tell you that their greatest fear is failure.

But here is the contradiction, growth always comes alongside with failure, so if you avoid it, there is no way you will grown in life. You will always try to be careful, overshadowed and be haunted what you could have done instead of living them out.

I can vividly recall what happened few years back when I got profoundly found and fell in love with a business Idea that I had to put all my soul and spirit, body and might, money and time, heart and spirit into it. But lo and behold, it was not what I thought was going to happen that happened. The market did not move in my favour at that time. For some months, I was unable to talk about it. I muted and left that part of me totally and I moved to the next thing. And should I said I regretted how I gave up because I was not experienced to give myself the needed time to recover from it and give it another try. I allowed the fear in me to push away my resilience.

But as times goes on, I have come across a time where I did not give in to failure to have a final say. As a crypto trader, I have lost count of how my stop loss has been hit. I have drafted what i thought were fail-proof plans, only to see it all unravel as if I have planned nothing. I became more self aware, grew wiser, more balanced and improved with decisions making–to the rhythm of the market.

What kept me pushing forward? I was not just my drive and aspirations. It was my certainty, belief and confidence. The belief of not giving up, the confidence of not blowing to failure and the certainty that I wanted more, and what I wanted is worth fighting for even through discomfort. And those things made me all stood out–different.

On the Hive Blockchain, one of the things I had feared trying is starting the "Meet Our Hive Witnesses Special Edition Interview" due to being rejected by the Hive Witnesses but since I started the interview, it has been going successfully even though there were some turn downs, but that have not stopped anything.

Here are my top three lessons:

Failure is not your worth of identity, even though when you fail, it might feel personal and emotional but it does not mean that you are a failure.

The more you recover and bounce back when you fail, the stronger you become with more chances of surviving.

As long as you stay true to yourself, purpose and course, the more you get connected, empowered and guided over fear.

Today, I see failure to be a very minor wound, though not good but it is a sign that I attempted it. And in every battle story, there is a story of survivor that has made me stronger to face the next battle.

Even though your story starts with a fall, do not give up by allowing it to end there.

A lot of people gave up even though they were almost near their victory. Sometimes, a little push is all it takes to overcome failure.

I totally agree with you become all we need do is to accept failure and grab the lessons we can from it. We can't say no to it because it must definitely come.
Thanks

Yes ooo. Failure is part of life, but it's left for us if to accept it as the final stage or push forward with hope. I always have it at the back of my mind that everytime I fail I'll always stand up taller.
