That Old Bicycle Memory
Today's freewrite topic made me remember a long time ago when I still usually went to one of our family friends house every Saturday just to ride bicycles and play around. They had, like, three to four bicycles; I can't really recall, but there was one nobody really trusted except those who had experience riding bicycles, and for me, I was still learning then.
On a particular afternoon like that, all the good bicycles had been picked up, and it was only the bad one that was left. The handles were already shaking, the seat had been removed, and the brake pulse and the chains were very faulty. I decided to ride it as if I were an expert.
The riding was going smoothly at first until a few minutes later when I was already in motion on a free, declined road. I lost control, and as I was trying to press the brake, it was not holding. I totally forgot that a lot was going on with the bicycle. Eventually, I stumbled and fell. I didn't sustain an injury, only a bruise on my right elbow. Though the kids that we were playing together back then laughed at me asking why I decided to ride it knowing that it is not safe to ride. I was just smiling while using style to hold on to the pain.
And this has taught me something important in my life, and i still see people risk their lives after they have been cautioned about something bad; they still go ahead to do it, maybe to show a point until they learn the hard way.

Thank you for reading.
