RE: Hazy Afternoons and Memories of Violent Weather

Here in New England over the last couple decades, we've had microbursts. Two have crossed our land with no damage, but damage to others property on the road was impressive. There was an 8 bent tobacco shed 1/4 mile away that was moved in its entirety 8' off its supports and was undamaged except for that. There was no way of moving it back, so they tore it down.

And there are towns east and south of us that have had extensive damage by microbursts. In the last few years, they've started issuing tornado warning s in the area. And there have have 1 or 2 of them that have touched down.

Very unusual for this area...
