Sublimed Sunday Activity: " My Cousin's Graduation Ceremony"

As a kind and loving parent, we wish for a good future for our children such as finishing school and getting a diploma. For this day, it seems very special for my Uncle and Aunt because their son has finished high school and actually had a Graduation ceremony here in our Church. Here in the town of Manticao, there is a Catholic school located here and it is the Saint Anthony Parish School. In the said school, my female cousin studies, and after four years of going back and forth to the School, she finally achieved and completed her studies. It was precisely at 8 in the morning when the families and parents of the students started arriving to accompany their children to march inside the Church. Even though it's hot, you can see the joy on the faces of the parents because their children have graduated from High School. It is a great victory for the parents because their sacrifices and hardships just for their children to graduate have had a good result. The students are happy because of the success they got despite the hardships and trials they experience in life as students. In order not to mess up the celebration, the school staff organized it properly and the celebration started at around 8 in the morning.

Before the Graduation ceremony began, a mass was held. This is the custom of us Catholics especially the students of the said school to perform mass before the graduation ceremony. It was more than an hour before the mass ended, and after that parents were invited to prepare to accompany their children to the front to be given a ribbon and medal along with receiving a diploma. After this, the students were invited to all go to the front of the church to sing their graduation song. This is one of the parts of their program and it has become a habit for the students to sing graduation for themselves and their parents.

It was a big success for my cousin, and he really did everything to finish school. He received his diploma and is available when looking for a job. Her parents were also very happy to see their daughter holding this diploma and wearing Graduation clothes.

When they were about to finish, I immediately went to my cousin's house to take a photo of the simple party as a thank you for the good grace that came to them, like the graduation of their daughter. It was a surprise for my cousin, and he had no idea that there was going to be a simple party. While they were still in the church and were busy taking pictures, the others were busy preparing the food on the dining table. They put up a big tarpaulin with my cousin's face and name on it and put it in front of the table for everyone to see. Other foods and dishes are already cooked such as Lechon and Bihon. Soon, other foods such as marinated pork, and grilled fish were also placed on the table.

The delicious and sweet cake decorated with flowers and written on top of the cake will also not be missing. Her parents were actually preparing it as a surprise. Little by little, guests and some relatives are also arriving to share in a special occasion. Soon my cousin arrived with her parents.

When my female cousin found out about a feast, she was very happy and surprised. He didn't think anyone was ready for her graduation so she immediately took pictures in front of the table.

Before starting to pray for the food, my cousin's aunts and uncle took pictures. He is related on her mother's side. And after that the prayer immediately began, everyone prayed deeply in gratitude to the Lord for the success they received in life before everyone started eating.
