Random Post Of The Day: Coconut Harvesting Activities and Shoreline Adventure

We did coconut harvesting every two months and this is one of our Primary source of income here in the Province. This is previous but I had a very busy day gathering those coconuts and put in one place so that it will be very easily to load at the cart pulled by a Carabao and transport it to other side of the place were the trucks can went. Truck will have difficult situations if it will crossed the river because the areas are very sandy, so it is better to wait at the other side of the place. 7 AM when we decided to start harvesting and the people who will climbed up at the coconut tree was also very early so that they will feel comfortable in the cold morning while working.

My Father estimation was almost 400 Coconut trees will harvested its fruits and this will take many hours before the harvesting will totally finish.

I was having a lot of fun time doing my job and because it was very heat, I decided to change my Clothes to make me more comfortable. Gathering those coconuts was very tiring enough, specially those who rolled to the distant places. Adding those coconuts who fell in the grassy places, I must do looking at the place if there are dangerous animals hiding in the grass.

The people who climbed up the coconut tree did their best to do their job very fast, as for me it will only take half-day and they are five people who harvested so it will be possible to finished their work very fast. Those dried Coconut palm is also very useful in fact we also gathered it to use as a firewood for cooking foods, rice and boiling water. We don't used any hightech cooking things just like stoves, electric stoves or Gasul tanks instead we used firewoods. The leaves of this palm will also use as broomsticks and sell to the market place.

Buko fruits are very perfect in this kind of summer season, and it was lucky for me and sure I can eat more buko fruits. I did a request to some harvested about getting more bukos and He did and granted my request, I was very thankful and decided to chopped in half.

Buko juice is one of my favorite drinks specially during hot season. This kind of Natural drinks and snacks are very expensive if we buy at the city places. Some of it cost 55 Pesos each that is why some of my relatives who came from cities are visiting our place and want some buko. I put the water in the clean pitcher and I will put this to refrigerator, I ate the buko meat and added with sugar to make it very sweet and tasty.

When coconut harvesting was finally done, my Mother do some audit on how much it will going to spent and pay to the people who did harvesting our coconuts. We payed 3,800 Pesos to them and it is very important to pay their hard works and doing their job very well.

Beach Traveling:

After that, My relatives and cousins invited me to go to the shore for an adventure and I accepted their invitations. It was very hot sunny day when we are at the coast searching for any sea shells, crabs and shrimps. I was having a lot of fun time spending together with my relatives and cousins, and I really love to do it that activities again. This place is located at Zone 8 Barangay Poblacion Manticao and it contains lots of rocks and rock pools that will children loves to take a bath at the pool.
