My Daily Blog: Barangay Festival here Barangay Punta Silu

Its been a very long time of not doing any post here due to busy situations. Having lots of problem is not easy but I will keep myself calm by creating any post here in hive platform. Today, we celebrated Barangay Festival here in Barangay Punta Silum Manticao, Misamis Oriental. As for that, different kinds of activities will be held that will surely everyone will really like to watch. This morning, at exactly 5 in the morning there was a marathon. Expected to have lots of runners and participants to join and as the organizers says they start running from Barangay Linangkayan all the way here in Barangay Punta Silum. Everyone was very excited to watch the activity and almost hundred of participants joined the activities.

We patiencely waiting to the participants to reach the finish line, and everyone was very excited to wait.

After almost an hour when two of the participants has finally reached the finish line. The crowd was cheering the participants. Medical team and traffic enforcers was also in monitored the event. Ambulance are already parked at the street and few convoy also followed the runners. We kept waiting the others to reach the finish line and after almost an hour they als came in. The street was filled with lots of people cheering and taking pictures.

After the marathon, the organizers also announced that the procession will followed in an hour. Everyone was very delighted to see the processions and it is been done every year. Finally the drum music was already heard from a far including the horn of the vehicles. The Police Personel also assisting and conducting peace and order to the Procession.

Lots of Worshippers and devotees joined the processions including the priest, Altar servers and a band with lyers who create a festive music for the processions. Next is the vehicle where the Patron Saint was placed along with few Native people ,phtographers and devotees. The street was filled with lots of people and a festive music, others was dancing while waving their hands and the Patron they brought.

Most of the Students from Catholic schools was also joined the event bringing their musical instruments. The procession was very long because of the massive devotees attending the Activity. The kiddy king and queen was also joined the procession riding in this small truck. The Barangay Personels also joined the procession and also helping to assist people. Different kinds of festive music can be heard and it was very enjoyable and fun to watch.

The long parade was followed by this group of street dancers to be held at Manticao Public Market. They are really attractive because of their Colorful and festive Costumes. They really did their best to produce wonderful and original Dance competition. This kind of activity is very nice and wonderful to watch. Their costumes are very colorful and very unique because of its designs. Children who also watched the parade was also having a lot of time and expected to enjoyed.

After a few hours of watchinf the Parade, I decided to went back home. As I arrived there I hurriedly went to the room so I can surfing the net using my Laptop but sadly the internet signal was very poor. I tried to connect my laptop at the wifi spots but it was not in used. I kept myself to find a best way. Because of the poor signal here, I can ba abled lots of water. Different sounds can also be heard and some worshippers offer their prayer. It was truly an enjoyable and wonderful fo us and if you watchig those lights.
