Calangahan-Biga Coast, A Paradisiacal Place And Perfect to Visit

Calangahan beach and coastal area is quite far from the main road and it needs to walk or ride all the way down to the place a few minutes. From Barangay Poblacion, it takes almost an hour of traveling depends on how traffic the road. It is also accessible by different kinds of vehicles because of the newly excavated rocky road separated to the main road of the place.

This is the newly excavated road neaf at the coastal areas. This rocky road helps to all residents to avoid traffic situations and it is also served as a shortcut connecting to the Mainroad not quite far from here. Cliff compost of solid rocks can also be seen here and contains a great overlooking views towards the sea. It is also surrounded with lots of agricultural plants like Bananas, and few coconut trees. Wild plants and flowers also grows at the place even if it is filled with lots of rocks.

Aside of wild plants and flowers, native trees are also grown at the place just like this Antipolo, talisay, mahogany and molave trees. It gives the place a cool and shady parts and expected to have lots of wild animals like Birds. This big antipolo tree already grown almost hundred years already according to the elders who lives near here. The most fascinating with that is it grows at the side of the cliff, the big roots from the tree hold tightly to the rocks that it cannot easily leaning to the ground everytime when there is a strong wind of bad weather.

Tall and wide billboards are also installed at the place placing big tarpaulins. It was placed at the top of the cliff so everyone can easily seen from the road. It built at the top of the rocky cliff facing to the road and tightly tied so it cannot easily blown out by strong winds. Each side of the road contains lots of solar lights.

From the top of the cliff lies this great overlooking views to the sea. Mostly big ships and small wooden boats can be seen here and a great sunset is perfect to captured or take pictures from here. Below the cliffs are lots of native trees and wild plants grows including the rocky coast.
At The Coastal Areas:

From the coast, lots of trees also grows at the sandy and rocky areas. This trees also helps for those who wants to visit here doing picnics or campings. It can also gives a shady parts of the place. Aside of that, big rocks and corals can be seen at the shore. Lots of crabs hiding under those big stones and corals and it more amazed because this big rocks are landed here by big and rough waves.

Few manggroove plants grows at the coast and everytime when there is a high tide, this plants will completely submerged by sea water. Manggrooves gives a great contributions to the environment so the rough waves wont be hit at the shore. Residents don't want to cut those plants because it is also served as a marine habitat.

This old bay-walk was already submerged to the sea. It reached Kilometer distance and those black portion was once an asphalt where people who visited here enjoyed walking and seating while watching the sunset. But as many years and the climate changes, the sea rises resulting the place to sunk permanently. It is very nice to visit here specially during summer season.
