What's Your Take on The Ongoing Protest 🪧?
Dearest Nigerians what's really our take on this protest 🪧.
The rate of hunger, crime, unemployment etc is really alarming.
Yesterday I filled gas at 1400 per Kg compare to 200,300 naira as at before.
I wouldn't talk about fuel and diesel, transportation is so high.
I can remember when I went for my Nysc that was 2021 my transportation from Akwaibom to Anambra was 3,350 naira, it graduated to 4 thousand naira, that was the highest I paid but current from Akwaibom state to Anambra is ten thousand naira plus.
I wouldn't talk about transportation round the State or our different local government.
Ah! Where are we really headed to.
Food items are now for the kings because the common man can barely feed nor afford it.
Sometimes eating one full square meal in my house is something we debate on(don't forget that I'm working o) imagine those that aren't working.
Isn't this bad governance enough, aren't we tired.
Our politicians only loot money rather than look for a way forward for their state or our country Nigeria.
I can remember last month the Governor of my state decided to gift all civil servants in the State 20 thousand naira which is equivalent to 20 to 21 HBD.
The good thing was that he made a public announcement of it. When it was time to give out this money as promised the people in charged of it paid some workers and refused to pay the rest of the workers( especially the primary school teachers) when this got to the notice of NUT(Nigeria Union of Teachers) alarm was rest and little protest was conducted that is when those greedy politicians rushed and paid all the primary school teachers at once, I mean all, alert was just flying in hee and there.
When my mother received hers and was dancing i said to myself so if the primary school teachers never rose up it would have been a forgotten issue.
Again I saw that this is how funds are allocated to our President, Governors, Commissioners, Senators or any politically related personnel and all they do is to shut down the project of which this money was meant for then corner some to their pockets.
This is wickedness of the highest order.
Seeing these pictures on the Internet made me weep profusely, because it's not supposed to be so.
I go to market and see men and woman both old and young not selling anything at all because people rarely have money to purchase these goods.
Under rain under sun people are selling just to make ends meet yet when money is allocated for empowerment it will be siphoned into unnecessary stuff.
Bad roads here and there, just last week Wednesday a Father of three and two handsome graduates of university of Uyo, Akwaibom state preparing to leave for their Nysc lost their lives along Calabar road when they were all coming back from Calabar back to Uyo. The father of three went for his final clearance of his Master Degree and the young guys went for graduation ceremony of their younger sister on the way back the accident occured.
When I heard this my heart bleed because this would have avoided if that roads were good. Our politicians won't feels all theses because their children isn't schooling here in Nigeria, not even their families are staying in the country so why would they feel it?
They use air to travel not land, so they won't see the bad roads scattered all over the country, no matter how much the citizens would complain.
So with all these I support the protest 🪧, it just that our Nigerian government might do what they did at Lekki toll gate some years back where the release bullets on innocent citizens and lives were lost🥺🥺🥺ðŸ˜ðŸ˜.
Till this day 20 October 2020 still remains fresh in my memory 🥺🥺🥺
I pray God really comes to our aid least we might just lost it.
