The Family of My Second Cousin Invited me to Baluarte Zoo, Ilocos Sur

Greetings Hivers! Hope all is well with you and your family too.

It always makes me happy to see animals especially those that were not caged that can freely move around the area. I was so lucky that my second cousin took me to a famous zoo in Ilocos Region. I enjoyed the experience of feeding the animals especially the rare ones.

It was also the first bonding moment outdoors of their family for this year 2026, I'm grateful to be part of it. I like going to the zoo it is delightful to see God's creation. I forgot when was the last time I went to zoo but maybe it was in 2017 at a marine park in Fukuoka, Japan during my on the job training as a caregiving trainee.

My cousin and his wife have 2 kids a teenager boy and grade schooler girl. They also brought their nephew as kids below 5 years old are free of entrance fee.

This is the shuttle we ride on package A that includes 4 stations: Gold Refinery, Safari Gallery, Big Cats and Crocodile Park Reptiles Terrarium.

At the Safari Gallery, there are collections of pictures of the politician who owned the zoo, his photos of wild animals he hunted and replicas of those animals were displayed in a museum, I felt pity for those animals as one of my advocacy is being environmentalist.

We also went inside a gold refinery, in there you will see devices used to refine gold, silver and ore. These precious minerals makes one rich when you know how to mine it. I guess it made the politician a wealthy man too as one of his business.

I've heard that the soup of the venison meat is delicious, I haven't tasted it yet but my cousin said that it is true as he had experience tasting a venison soup.
