New Found Friend agreed to take my Roommate Friends to the Dance Floor

I joined the young single adult conference.

There was a social night wherein the participants of the program gather together to dance, the theme of the activity was "A Regency Ball - an Evening of Elegance" I did not really prepared a Bridgerton ball gown for that, I only wore a simple black dress with white top. I'm not really the type of person who likes social gatherings wearing expensive outfits. While walking to get some snacks, I was fascinated that there was a corner for ice cream so I asked if I can get one, then a guy interrupted and said it was not for free and so I ask how much for one cone in all flavors, then he was laughing so hard with his friends because my face was so serious when I ask about the price and his friends too were all laughing and I realized it was a prank. I was then reminded that all food that was served was free of charge for the church activity so I laughed with them then went back to my seat. I noticed the guy who made a prank and his friends sat near me and my roommate friends, he then invited me to the dance floor.

I agreed because he made me laugh earlier but I told him to shield me from the media committee who were taking photos and videos as it feels so awkward especially when they publish stolen pictures or captured video with awkward faces and poses. The guy agreed and when I saw the media committee attempting to take photos or videos he was so quick to shield me from it, my roommate friends were laughing so hard when they saw us avoiding the media committee. The guy was surprised when I called him by his name as he forgot to formally introduced himself earlier and I told him, "hey! you are wearing the activity I.D. that is why I know your name" and so we laughed. The guy was actually about 10 years younger than me so he was like a little brother but bigger and taller than me.

He was a funny boy and because I want my roommate friends to also have fun, I told him to dance with them too. He quickly responded, took me back to my seat and dance with the girls one by one. After they danced, one of the girls shared about their conversation, the guy asked, "what was her occupation?" then she replied "an occupational therapist" he was not familiar and asked what does that profession wear? and had a follow-up question if they wear a PPE? She laughed and found out that their workplaces are nearby. The guy asked the other girl about "what she majored in college?" and she replied "mathematics." He was surprised and asked "what is the slope of a particular building?" she replied to him the formula of the slope and was laughing so hard about that question.

These are my roommate friends, we were laughing a lot together during the social dance night.
