From Aspiring Copywriter turns out to be a Hive Blog Writer (Introductory Post)

I started 2025 with a new goal to become a copywriter as I came across a Facebook page about copywriting. I even took a 7-day challenge as a ninja copywriter but in order for me to know deeper about copywriting I have to enroll in a longer course that will take 14 weeks and the enrollment for this course is quite costly. Fast forward in this last quarter of 2025, I stumbled in a Facebook page about freelance blog writing. My interest in enhancing my writing skills once again ignite. After months of frustration, fate is leading me back to my passion in writing.

ninjamoves.jpeg

As a diligent student during high school, I became interested in writing long answers in the essay part of the exam to get higher points. It was like a lifehack during examinations and the essay part of the test became my favorite part. My higher order thinking skills were enhanced, the analytical, critical and logical thinking. My English vocabulary was widened and my grammatical skills improved somehow. When I went to college, my other classmates would ask for my assistance in composing their reaction papers, reflection papers, and even their term papers in which they appreciated so much and told me that I have a potential to become a book writer or author. It never crossed my mind to become a professional writer in the future because my dream job was to become a Japanese language interpreter as I graduated in a Japanese institution in high school and majored in Japanese language in college with a proficiency level but I started to consider it after hearing their feedback. I also had a habit of journal writing in which I write in dual language, English and Japanese. Although, my aspiration of becoming a Japanese language interpreter have not yet been realized, I became a TVET (Technical-Vocational Education Training) Trainer as foreign language instructor for Filipino students who aspired to work in Japan. Teaching basic Japanese language was fun too.

Teaching the Japanese language in 3 class schedules (morning, afternoon and evening) was tough but I enjoyed and had a lot of fun, it gives a rewarding feeling when your students passed the proficiency tests.

Why I joined Hive?
I joined Hive because of the different communities which talks about things that I am so much interested such as travel, food and life that thrived. I want to become part of these communities and share every travel, every food and every life experience that I have. I would like to meet people from all walks of life in different parts of the world who will become my extended online family. As a family history research virtual student, I like reading life stories of real people as it gives inspiration and motivation to live your life to the fullest. I also love sharing stories as it creates connection and friendship. Writing is more than just a hobby to me, it is very therapeutic and for me it is a brain exercise as well.

travel.jpeg

I also like taking pictures of food, life experiences like adventures and travels so my photography and editing skills will be enhanced using this platform. Online journaling is something I like to do on a daily basis so writing a blog is the best way to do it. As a musician, I love to express myself so Hive is the best place to be.

bakemac.jpeg

As I was scrolling my newsfeed in Facebook and reading updates of hiring posts, this interesting Facebook page of Ma’am Antonette Langgamon popped up so I am onboarded by @antonette @chinito we meet through her page in Facebook and she oriented me on how Hive works. I am grateful for her guidance that my writing skills can now become useful in a professional way.
I understand that I must use my own original pictures. I must also do quality engagement and post. I must not use AI in all posts and engagements and that plagiarism is not allowed in Hive.
Photos are mine and edited using Canva.

Welcome to the Hive community @glowinthelight!
We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.

Eight suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, Keychain, Peaklock, and Hivesigner,
  3. The master password and the owner key are only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your password or keys; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own.
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
  7. DO NOT OPEN any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.
  8. NO AI The community values a human-written post, not one generated by a machine.

If you find yourself overwhelmed and need some guidance, or if you have any questions, there are informed Hiveans available who can help you; you can click to go to The Terminal in Discord here:

Have fun and happy Hiving!

Thank you for the very warm welcome, I appreciate it. I'm glad to be part of something great that values human-written post. Many are saying that writers will be losing their jobs in the coming years as the AI will dominate this writing profession and I was so sad to hear about this before. But when I learned about the Hive community that values pure writing skills and strictly implements "NO AI" I find comfort and strong hope for humanity. Happy Writing!

Yes, you are correct in that there are a lot of people talking about it, and the next intro down is a young lady named Kerstin and she just happens to be an AI college professor! Maybe make a nice comment on her post, you might be able to strike up a conversation!
By the way, I am impressed that you teach Japanese, I am just starting to learn it and am almost finished with learning the Kana!
Also, just so you are aware and you love to write, you might want to join the Ladies of Hive Discord server, the Ladies of Hive have a weekly contest with prompts from fellow Hiveans! The banner I have at the bottom of the Hey! Have Ya Met...? post is a link to their Discord of which I am a member.
Also, see you in Filipinos of Hive server with @chinito and @antonette!!!

I did not answer a question you asked, and I just caught that; yes and no, I have two websites I use for this, 1 paid membership at JapanesePod101 and 1 paid Shogun membership on Clay and Yumi's MakotoPlus in The Japan Shop. They are a married couple who provide massive benefits to even free members; lots of reading and audio material and courses.

こんにちは、ジェームズさん。
なるほど、わかりました。JapanesePod101 is really a good resource, very nice and comprehensive videos. The other reference is new to me. Have you visited Japan?

No, unfortunately, I never got to go there, but one reason I started to learn Japanese was my sister-in-law was born and raised in Tokyo, and she poked me and said it was time to learn Japanese lol!
You really should come into one of the Discord servers, either Filipinos of Hive, or Ladies of Hive and we can talk for free, you are spending Resource Credits to talk here in Hive.

Hi @glowinthelight welcome to Hive. I'm @palomap3 from Lovesniper OCD team.

You are the first Filipino Japanese teacher I have ever met, what an interesting combination, hehe. You already gave us clues with those ninjas on the cover of your presentation, I loved them. Your love of writing is evident, and I agree with you that expressing ourselves with our words is therapeutic. Even if we don't solve problems, at least we find relief and avoid ruminating. Since I can see that you have good mentors, I recommend that you explore the communities which I link below.

Tips and information as a Hive newbie here: newbie guide.

Communities you might like that are part of the OCD Communities Incubation Program. Important: read their rules and post in the one that fits your content.

Have a good day!

Hello, welcome to "Hive". The beginning is always difficult, but the key is to raise your reputation to at least level 70. This will take some time, but with consistency, it can be achieved.
Then increase your "Hive Power" and never "Power Down".
I wish you the best of luck on your journey.😀
