#263 I Consider failing to be equally important in Succeeding in Life

avatar
(Edited)

If I had not failed for several attempts this year, I might not have found this awesome platform. Truly, my failures led me to be part of this wonderful online community. I aspired to become a copywriter at the beginning of this year but I was not lucky enough to pursue it, as it requires higher investment in terms of financial support and time. Fortunately, I never gave up finding better opportunities for growth and development, my perseverance helped me to find Hive and ultimately become a writer through blogging.

But before I arrived here, I had been through a lot of disappointments for joining businesses that did not give return of investments, frustrations for having been employed with a promising good compensation but still pending because of the corrupt system of the government here in the Philippines and worst got scammed for several times over, all of these piled up and made me broke but through it all I never loose hope. I still keep holding on to that silver lining at the end of the tunnel.

I strongly believe that it is necessary to fail as it transforms your character and it strengthens your ability to endure hardships and difficulties in all aspects of your life. Without tasting the bitter reality of failure of how cruel this world is, you will never appreciate success if it is given to you on a silver platter. But success taste the sweetest when you know that you went through the refiner's fire.

Photo is mine.

That is extremely succinct and on point.
It is kind of tough when we set our hearts on something, and it is changed but not by us, and sometimes dents the pride and / or pocketbook from our choices.
And yes, refining is good!!!
Oh, ps: for reference, loose should be "lose", as in "sometimes we lose patience!" Never lose three things: faith, hope, or love!!!
Sometimes we carry the loose change in our pocket when it is all we have left.

Thanks a lot, yes there are many factors of failure and success but I think every individual has their own season of learning from failures and achieving success, it is always interconnected. Thanks for the correction, I will edit it this happens when you try to be proficient in multiple languages the grammar or spelling rumbles 😅

こんにちは MG,
So, dansk (Danish), Deutsch, Greek, Filipino (tagalog), French, Hebrew ((both Biblical (ancient and modern) and Modern), Italian, Korean, Nederlands, Português (Brasilian), Russian, Swedish, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Plus the two you named; English is my native language.
But I want to be clear, I am only in the beginning stages of all of these languages, and they are a lot of fun to play with.
Oh, I forgot one: I also started Toki Pona, the shortest language in existence; it only has 122 base words hahahaha!!! It is a language invented by linguist Sonja Lang.

That's right. The more failure you met, the more you will be determined 💕

Yes, Sis. others would see it as opportunity to keep on trying and learning, try and try until you succeed but others too give up and surrender.

We are like a diamond, we have to experience the heat of the fire to shine.
Business is not always having profit. Just like us here in Dipolog. There are days or week that we do not have customers. But still thankful because we can still find ways to pay the bills.

You are correct Sis.
Some days the business is gaining a lot, some days also it's otherwise just like in 2020 other businesses boom others also closed but at the end of the day if you're business is in between and still manage to pay the expenses necessary to continue doing it then it's like a miracle. It's the matter of embracing innovations might as well consider promoting it online through advertisement or reviews from customers to attract new clients or customers, marketing strategies and the likes.

Many successful individuals I have come across in my meanderings share the same experience, "I learned far more from my failures than my successes." Another quote from a great investor is, "Invest in yourself, learn to spot the opportunity!"
I've been taken in by a few scams in the past, at least I know how to recognize them and past the warning to my friends.

That's true Sis. there are lessons that can only be learned from failures though painful it's from the pain that we become better, wiser and stronger.

Failing simply means you get back stronger and push harder to succeed. I believe it is a pre-requisite for success.

Failure is really what helps us to succeed in life, you can't have one without the other. There is no growth without pain, it is the journey that matters the most at the end of the day. Thank you @glowinthelight for answering this weeks question.

Yes very well said, it is like one of the spices or ingredients in a recipe that makes the dish tasty or delicious. Pain is one of the best teachers. I was inspired to participate as I can relate with the question to my personal experience especially this year. Thank you for this initiative.
