The Perfect Peach Dress😍
Hello Hive!
Wishing you all a happy and fulfilled day today. There is that satisfaction creatives get when they bring to life their imagination, and that is how I'm feeling right now, seeing my creative light shine forth with this beautiful peach perfect dress I made.
I don't know about others, but to me, it gets boring overtime trying to recreate someone's else's style or creation to the last detail, there is more fun in coming up with your own ideas, no matter how it turns out, good or bad, you feel proud of what you did, and only get encouraged to do more and get better.
This dress belongs to a friend of mine, over here in my country, the last months of the year, from September to December, are usually filled with wedding celebrations, as most couples tend to fix their wedding dates towards the end of the year and holiday seasons to accommodate more family and friends.
And of course, with weddings come vibrant and beautiful dresses and styles to make the day colourful. For this supposed wedding, the theme of the day is peach and my friend T also got 2 yards of lace fabric as a show of support to the couple.
The problem was that she couldn't decide on any style, and in the process of going back and forth, I picked up my pencil and started illustrating a design in my head. Guess what, she instantly fell in love with it and gave me the go-ahead to use and combine any fabric I feel will suit the style, right then and there, the process started.
The Materials used
- Crepe fabric
- lace fabric
- Chantilly lace
- Organdy fabric
Cutting And Sewing Process
- I started by cutting out the upper pattern pieces, using a bustier pattern
- I also cut out the lower part of the dress, using a long pencil skirt pattern.
- Continuing, I joined the pattern pieces together, and also turned the neckline using its lining pattern.
- Then I joined the upper part to the lower part of the dress around the waist area
- And also repeated the same process for the back pattern, sewing a zipper to close up the back as well.
- Then I joined the front and back by their sides.
- Finally, I cut out the long-sleeve pattern and sewed the organdy ruffle around its hem, and that completes the making process of this dress.
Beautiful, isn't it? My friend T was so happy and fell in love with the finished look as well as it fitted perfectly. Would you love to own a dress like this?
