Don't Worry, Be Happy!
Life can never go smoothly at all times, the earlier we realize this the better we become mature and able to control our emotions, as this is what life has taught me myself, a few years back I was a victim of chronic depression, due to some certain life challenges, the worst part was that I was never an extrovert, so being introverted made it even more worst for people around me to know that I was battling with depression. Someone who basks in her privacy even in a happy moment, then imagine what happens when the feeling of sadness takes over, it was an extreme torture keeping all the burden of sadness to myself and not willing to let others in.
Constant worrying became like a habit, and my aim for perfection at all times even made it worse, it became so worse that I never had hope in things getting better because my pessimistic side took the better part of me. But in all these worries, was a solution provided? No, the worrying and blocking out everyone even caused more challenges, healthwise, and my minimal social life almost became zero If not for my family who would always stand by me irrespective of the challenge.
How I overcame
Positive Thinking
Do you know that every thing you are today first starts from your mind, your mind is like a channel to your inner spirit, much like likening it to your mouth which helps in collecting food to our stomach, be careful of what you abhor in your mind, as your mind has the power to strengthen or weaken you, so it's up to you to decide what you want. learn to do away with negative thoughts, as they give rise to more destructive thoughts to one's health, before I became free from my depression, I allowed my thoughts to be based on positive proclamations, and one piece of advice my mum gave me which I cannot forget in a hurry is "Worrying doesn't solve anything, and why worry over what you have no control over in your aim for perfection" I thought about it deeply and saw the truth in every word, after all, we are only humans and can only do our best, but aiming for perfection at all time will further lead us into the dark hole of sadness, which leads me to my next point.
No one is an island We all need someone, even just one person to share our moments with whether sad or happy moment, a common proverb in Nigeria is that "a problem shared is half solved" sometimes just pouring out the burdens in our heart has a way of bringing us relief, I wouldn't have been able to overcome the depression I was in if I didn't have families that never gave up on me, they constantly made sure to be available in my trying moments, bringing up ideas and solutions, made jokes out of the situation to distract me from those dark thoughts, and yes, I overcame, never underestimate the power If good relationships, make sure to build healthy relationships with family and friends, they would be the first to easily notice when something isn't right with you and to get help to bring you out of that sad emotions, don't feel that is the right time to block everyone away, you would rather end up feeling worse, and remember, don't worry, be happy, the power to control your emotions is in you, don't let your challenges make you feel otherwise, worry not over what you have no control over.

There will be ups and downs always, but positive thinking is as great power to face all the challenges. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
That's right, stay above negative thoughts and you will find happiness.
Thanks for this comment
Worrying over what we have no control over is like pouring water in a basket 🧺 expecting that it will full but obviously will never full. I said to myself that in my low moment isn't the best way to shut people away from me..infact my extroverted nature wouldn't even allow that..lol
I love myself on that aspect because I don't know how to harbour my challenges...I try to speak out and get help as soon as its possible
I envy extroverted people, it is easier for them to speak out in down moments than introverts because we can't do all things by ourselves all the time. Especially when it involves our emotions, seeking help would always be the right option.
The most important thing in life is to enjoy the present and be happy, every single moment you have.
That's on point. Thanks for the addition.
you are welcome
Keep up the good work. 👏
