Happy Sunday dear creative hivers, I hope you all had a relaxing weekend, It has been rather an exhausting one for me, glad I could make it to today's creative Sunday edition. Better late than never.

Today, I will be sharing with you how I made a fabric flower which was used as an embellishment on a dress. There are those moments when you feel your dress is too plain and would need a touch of something to elevate the style/look.

In this post, I will be sharing with us an easy way to do that with a fabric flower, note that there are numerous fabric flower shapes you can make with your fabrics also repenting on the fabric type, this is just one of the numerous choices you can make, I love this design because it's pretty east and can be done by any one in few minutes

I recently made this beautiful side gathered dress and wanted an embellishment on it, using the same fabric the dress was made of, which is a scuba fabric, This fabric has its structure and doesn't have any need for interfacing as it is already foam-like, it easily takes shape.

Process

• Starting, I cut it a rectangular pieces of about 16 inches long, the more ruffles you want, the longer, the width is about 3.5 inches.

• Next, thread your hand needle if you don't have a sewing machine, I can also run a gather stitch on my sewing machine but decided to use my hand needle for the sake of this tutorial.

• Continuing, I stitched the down edge of the rectangular pieces.

• Then staged the thread to gather it, then I sewed both edges together

• The shape of the fabric flower is now formed,

• Finally, I stitched to the point I wanted on the dress. Beautiful, isn't it?

That completes the making process of this fabric flower.
