Creative Sunday | Beautiful Jumpsuit DIY
Happy Sunday dear creative Hivers, glad to make it to another interesting Hive Learners creative Sunday edition, I hope you are all having an amazing Sunday.
Today, I will, as usual, be sharing with us another creative sewing project, a surprise jumpsuit I made for my friend's mum, it was an urgent one as I was given less than 24 hours to create it, and the rush made me forget to take pictures when I was done, I felt bad because what would be the use of the step by step process without the finished look, only for me to receive these images with a thank you and that it fits perfectly, brightening up my mood.
Though not as clear as I would have taken it myself, I'm still glad, I get to receive something to share with us today. She knows how I love to blog about my sewing creative side. The jumpsuit is made of light flowery crepe fabric, though a bit stressful to work with, but the fitting is always unique. Let's get right into the making process then.
Materials use
- Crepe fabric
*Thread
- Step 1
I started by drafting the upper side of the jumpsuit using a bustier pattern
- Step 2
I also drafted and cut out the basic upper back pattern ..
- Step 3
Next, I joined the pattern pieces together for both front and back and joined them by the shoulders.
- Step 4
Continuing, I drafted the lower part of the jumpsuit using a palazzo trouser pattern.
- Step 5
Then, sewed them by the crotch before joining them to the already made upper side
- Step 6
The sleeves were made with a flare pattern, giving a cold shoulder effect to the jumpsuit
The beautiful final look which she was so happy to receive.
Making a jumpsuit is very easy, I hope you followed through to this point
