All For The Camera

There are lots of reasons why the recent world is known as the camera age, most activities that were usually done privately are now being put on camera to get accolades from fans and friends, I understand that content creation and influencing have been adopted by almost everyone as they all aim for fast online money, but shouldn't the camera be taken off when delicate situation like rendering an apology for an inappropriate a lot scandalous action, especially if it is focused on an individual.

The way the word sorry has been used these days, has made it somehow lose its essence, let me explain further, there are three categories of people based on the way they express themselves with this word

There is the one that easily says sorry but they aren't real apologies, because the next moment they still go back to indulge in what they were sorry about and their actions show no remorse, it's just mere words of mouth.

There is also the one that never says sorry and would just show they are sorry for their actions, I mostly hear married women complain more about this, but what choice do they have, as long as their actions truly show they are sorry, they forgive and move on. In this case, action speaks older than words.

But what about those who seek validation from others, setting cameras and all so they have a lot of witness to defend them that they truly apologized for whatever mayhem they might have caused, celebrities are the most guilty of this type of apology when they receive backlash from their hand, it's easier for them to come online and read scripted apology script, hoping for whatever chaos to be settled.

Is this kind of apology sincere? Since we can't read their minds, some might sincerely be sorry, but most of them are hardly sorry, they probably just went public because something is at stake, losing the support of their fans, their dignity or financial loss threatened, to curb the situation apology videos has taken the shine fit a while now.

The best kind of apology in my opinion is the one you give on a one-on-one meeting with whoever you offend showing remorse about what was done, this is easily detected by the offended and when it shows, there is no way your apology won't be accepted, and not just apologizing but backing your apology with sincere actions.

Yes, the camera generates income for most of us today, still, we should consider when to take the caners off and go the traditional way of apologizing.

It is easy for us to get carried away causing scandals because we know that we can always come back to set the camera and apologize, it only takes time for you fan based to realize that you are not who you are said to be, and still end up losing what you tried to protect in pretense. Sincerity matters.

Thank you for reading.❤❤
