Happy new week, dear Hivers, I hope it ushers in great opportunities as well.

Glad to make it to another #Needleworkmonday, where it feels just right to start my wek here on Hive, and I sure have an interesting work in progress sewing project to share with you today. For now, let's refer to this beauty as a sheer crop blouse. Lately, I've found myself drawn to sheer fabrics, more than I will in the past, before I used to think of sheer-styled fabric as indecent. Well, don't blame me, it's because of the way some ladies wear their sheer fabric clothing. Being more open to fashion and style made me realize that I can wear a sheer fabric and still look decent and elegant in it.

For instance, take a look at the way I styled this crop blouse; I had it shrug over a spaghetti strap dress, both blending so perfectly. So what is that style or fabric you used to shy from before, but now find yourself more comfortable with, even loving it more? Mine is Sheer fashion.

So without further ado, let's get right into the process of how I made this blouse.

Materials Used

  • lace fabric

  • Matching coloured thread

  • Zipper

Cutting And Sewing Process

  • I started by cutting the front pattern with a round neckline and width of 2.5 inches equally

  • I also cut out the back pattern with a upper round neckline

  • Next. I held in the dart and joined the front and back by the shoulder area

  • Continuing, I drafted and cut out the collar pattern,

  • Next, I sewed it around the neckline

  • For the sleeves, I used a two-in-one sleeve, a basic long sleeve, and flare beneath

  • I joined them together and sewed them around both armholes of the blouse, I also sewed in a zipper to the backside, and that completes the making process of this beautiful crop blouse.
