A coffee-filled morning makes a perfect day

Most people assume being your own boss makes it easy for one to be not so strict about being a morning person, but the reverse is the case most times, as an entrepreneur, and sole controller of my business as a fashion designer which isn't an easy profession as most people think because it requires a lot from us mentally, physically even emotionally, my morning actually happens to be my most important and sacred part of my day because if I start well, then, by all means, I will mostly end the day right, ticking most of my to-do list of the day.

I am a morning person, and sticking to this routine for years has made my body get used to this clock every morning, I depended on alarm clocks before but not anymore, even when I have no much important things to do, I still tend to wake up at exactly this time between the hours of 4-5 am, next thing is committing to my day to my creator's hands, yes, I believe in God, instinctively and intentionally committing my day, and declaring how I want my day to turn out assures me that all will be well and even when it doesn't go as planned, I have peace knowing that I already committed the day and it's going according to God's plan.

Next is to go prepare my cup of hot coffee, I've seen and heard people who prefer cold coffee, especially on hot days, but for me whether cold or hot weather, I prefer my coffee hot, I think this might be probably due to my coffee brand, Nescafe 3 in 1 creamy coffee, it tastes good when hot and horrible when cold so I make sure to keep it hot as I take frequent sips. Our morning here is usually cold so it's just a perfect blend alongside the peace and calmness the morning brings, the children are yet to wake up, especially during this current holiday period, so having my coffee when they are awake would probably not make me enjoy the comfort of my coffee to the fullest, as I prefer to sit and finish it all up at that one sitting while I strategize and make plans for my day.

If I wake up with an energy of 50% for instance, my coffee helps double that energy, being in the business of creativity, my coffee cannot be left out of my successful creative ideas over the years as most of these ideas were born during the early hours of the morning with my coffee by my side, the creative thinking, sketching my designs, drafting my patterns with much enthusiasm and bringing it to life during the later hours of the day all started with my intentional morning coffee ritual.

I'm not a morning breakfast person, I'd rather consider myself as a brunch individual as I tend to take my first meal at the later hours of the day, I skip breakfast, but not my coffee, my husband once suspected my coffee to be the reason I've maintained a stable and healthy weight even after birthing two kids, I don't know the science behind this but I would love to think it is also an extra benefit and don't see my self stopping anytime soon. Having the day's to-do list and even ticking part of it at home in the same early hours of the morning, makes my day set and ready, next is to take a refreshing bath and set out to work, meeting with clients for fitting, consultations, or either a trip to the market to get sewing supplies feeling my best all day long, a coffee morning makes a perfect day.

Hi @glorydee
Also, my breakfast is my coffee. I don't eat breakfast because I'm fasting.
However, coffee is essential, just like you, when I feel down or lazy, coffee helps me a lot to lift my energy off the floor.
I see that you don't have fixed hours... you are independent in your work... that's good.

Good to know I'm not alone in this, coffee sure helps up our energy levels making the day productive.

Being self-employed really requires a lot of discipline and you have it well established in your life. Getting up early without the help of alarm clocks is great, something that is not part of my life, as I have a hard time getting up early but the days that I manage to do it and start working early of course it is a much more productive day.

Coffee is energy booster and I love how it gives me the strength to finish up with my activities for the day and tick all. I also drink hot coffee whether in hot or cold season, it doesn't matter.

Wow, I have really missed coffee, it's been awhile, am a morning person too, but being self employed requires self-discipline as well.
