My Christmas Day Celebration: A Memorable One.
Hello Everyone. Happy New Year to you. I am pleased to participate in this week's prompt.
Give us the highlight of your Christmas day celebration. How did it go? Were you indoors with your family and enjoying the moment, or did you go out with friends having fun?
Last year's Christmas celebration was one of the most exciting ones I have had in a longtime. Earlier that day I was not anticipating anything because I was financially down so the idea was that when I return from Christmas service in church I go back home and I sleep well.
So I dressed up at church where I had to worship and praise God for keeping and preserving me and everyone around me from January till that Day. It was an amazing time in God's presence. But while in church my friends called me and told me they were expecting me to show up so after the christmas service i got back home and while i was preparing to sleep peacefully i had a surprise visit my friends showed up at my house since i didn't want to show up and before we knew it i was forced to dress up so we can go out and have fun.
Excitingly i dressed up and joined them and we went to christmas village and there i had a whole lot of fun. They came along with food, drinks and chewables. I had a whole lot to eat, chew and drink that I got so exhausted. After everything we had to gist, play, dance and share our burdens, and a lot of people got relieved. I was also relieved because I knew that I would have just slept, woken up and fiddled with my phone that day but they made my day exciting and fun.
It didn't end there. While I was still with my friends my Mum called and was angry that i did not show up so we can celebrate christmas as a family as we used to. So after the hangout with my friends I went to my family house and saw that my mum had really prepared something special and was expecting all of us to assemble as a family so we celebrated Christmas day together as it has always benn for years.
I could see the excitement in her face as she was beaming with smiles as she led us to thank God for protecting and keeping us till that day after thanking God. We had a lot to eat and drink. I was really eating a lot on Christmas day. I don't even know where the food I ate was going because I was not tired of eating that day. We celebrated Christmas day indoors and I can say I enjoyed every bit of it. We were very happy as a family and after that my mum prayed for us all and most of us that still had other friends to hang out with did.
Finally I went to meet my Bestie… So I can also celebrate Christmas with him. That one almost wanted to finally burst my belle so i had to respect myself from further eating so that i wouldn't end up going back to my house with a bursted belle. In all of this my excitement was that I never had any plans to celebrate Christmas because I was financially down but I was happy that despite not having money I was able to celebrate Christmas day and I had so much fun that day. My Christmas Day celebration was a memorable one.
