A Time I Came Through For Others.

I am excited to participate in this week's prompt and I will be sharing how I was able to be of help to someone and how I felt after doing that and how the person I helped reacted to it. I have enjoyed peoples help greatly so i am always excited to also be of help to others. It's always great when we are in desperate need and someone comes through. That feeling alone could bring one that lost hope and felt there was no need for living again.

This scenario happened in my College year when I was in a College of Health Technology. A colleague of mine though we were not too close. We were just colleagues who came up to me one day and pleaded if I had cooked so she could come eat. At first i was surprised because i know we had never been close so the boldness she had to ask for that alone made me go all out even when i didn't want to cook but i told her to come along when i got back to my lodge i cooked she ate to her satisfaction and she couldn't help but thank me again and again raining blessings on me. She was scared to ask others but she had an urge to ask me and she was so excited I never turned her down. I was so happy that at the moment she needed my help I was able to come through for her.

The next one was when i had to accomodate a friend after she was duped and all the money saved for House rent was taken from her her Landlord was not an understanding person so he gave her quit notice and she had nowhere to go since she came from another state to school in Akwa Ibom state and at that time the family couldn't raise funds for her so she was really stranded. One of the days she came to me asking for Assistance to allow her to stay for a while till she can get her own Apartment. I granted her request and she came to stay with me. The relief and happiness alone gave me Joy always helping.

I can recall when i went to that environment newly i wasn't used to staying in the Hostel so when my Mum paid Hostel Accomodation for me one of the days i told her i was not able to cope staying in the hostel so my mum told me to manage that she doesn't have money now to get my own lodge. So while talking to one of my friends. Told her about how uncomfortable I felt living in the hostel she told me to manage that she will come through for me soon. I just took it casually and still managed but one of the days she called me gave me her house key to stay in her Apartment since she was going for her Hospital Experience she did not just give me house key she stocked up the house with food so that was more than enough help for me.

So with that I always look out for opportunities to help others when I have an opportunity to help. Helping others has a way of bringing one back to life and making them happy and for me it has always made me fulfilled coming through for others because of the help I have been benefiting from people.
