El Día de las Madres es una fecha que siempre lleva consigo un aire de celebración, amor y gratitud. Este año, tuve la oportunidad de vivirlo de una manera especial en nuestra iglesia local, rodeada de mujeres extraordinarias que comparten historias de vida, amor y sacrificio. Quiero compartir con ustedes esta experiencia que me llenó el corazón y me recordó la importancia de la comunidad y el crear lazos con otras mujeres que te inspiren.

Desde temprano, la iglesia comenzó a llenarse de flores y decoraciones que reflejaban la belleza y la fortaleza de cada madre presente. El ambiente estaba impregnado de risas, abrazos y el aroma del café recién hecho. Las mujeres de diferentes generaciones se reunieron para celebrar no solo a las madres, sino también a las figuras maternas que han dejado huella en nuestras vidas.

La reunión dio inicio con unas emotivas palabras de la joven moderadora, donde también se ofrecieron oraciones por todas las madres, tanto las que están con nosotros como aquellas que han partido. Las palabras que se emitieron resonaron profundamente en el corazón y la conciencia, recordándonos el sacrificio y el amor incondicional que caracteriza a las mamás. Cada oración era un tributo a la fortaleza femenina y a los lazos que nos unen, cada madre hace un esfuerzo increíble por sacar a sus hijos adelante, somos capaces de tantas cosas que no llegamos a imaginar, cada mujer vive una historia diferente y eso nos hace únicas pero unidas en el sentir de la maternidad.

Mother's Day is a date that always carries with it an air of celebration, love and gratitude. This year, I had the opportunity to experience it in a special way at our local church, surrounded by extraordinary women who share stories of life, love and sacrifice. I want to share with you this experience that filled my heart and reminded me of the importance of community and creating bonds with other women who inspire you.

Early on, the church began to fill with flowers and decorations that reflected the beauty and strength of each mother present. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, hugs and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Women from different generations gathered to celebrate not only mothers, but also the mother figures who have left their mark on our lives.

The gathering began with some moving words from the young moderator, where prayers were also offered for all mothers, both those who are with us and those who have departed. The words that were said resonated deeply in the heart and conscience, reminding us of the sacrifice and unconditional love that characterizes mothers. Each prayer was a tribute to the feminine strength and the bonds that unite us, every mother makes an incredible effort to bring her children forward, we are capable of so many things that we cannot imagine, each woman lives a different story and that makes us unique but united in the feeling of motherhood.

Uno de los momentos más memorables fue cuando se abrió el espacio para compartir testimonios (algo que me gusta) porque las experiencias de otras madres nos sirven de aprendizaje en esta gran aventura de la maternidad, en lo personal me gustan estos espacios, Escuchar a otras mujeres hablar sobre sus experiencias como madres, abuelas o figuras maternas fue un regalo invaluable. Hubo risas, lágrimas y muchas palabras de aliento. Cada relato era un recordatorio de que, aunque nuestras historias son diferentes, todas compartimos el mismo hilo de amor y resiliencia.

La celebración también incluyó actividades para los niños, quienes disfrutaron de manualidades y juegos mientras las mamás se conectaban entre sí. Fue hermoso ver a las generaciones más jóvenes aprendiendo sobre el valor del amor maternal y la importancia de la comunidad, y algo que me llamó la atención es que todas las madres fuimos atendidas por el grupo de jóvenes de la iglesia, así que me gustó ese plus porque siempre las mujeres estamos como que más pendientes de estas cosas.

Al final del día, me sentí profundamente agradecida por haber podido compartir este momento con tantas mujeres valientes. La experiencia me recordó que ser madre es un viaje lleno de desafíos y recompensas, y que nunca estamos solas en este camino. La comunidad que hemos construido en nuestra iglesia es un pilar fundamental que nos sostiene y nos inspira. Y amó poder asistir a este tipo de celebraciones donde el rol de la mujer como madre es premiado, y también se le recuerda el valor de dicho rol.

One of the most memorable moments was when the space was opened to share testimonies (something I like) because the experiences of other mothers serve as a learning experience in this great adventure of motherhood, personally I like these spaces, listening to other women talk about their experiences as mothers, grandmothers or mother figures was a priceless gift. There was laughter, tears and many words of encouragement. Each story was a reminder that although our stories are different, we all share the same thread of love and resilience.

The celebration also included activities for the children, who enjoyed crafts and games while the moms connected with each other. It was beautiful to see the younger generations learning about the value of motherly love and the importance of community, and something that stood out to me was that all of us moms were taken care of by the church youth group, so I liked that plus because we women are always kind of more aware of these things.

At the end of the day, I felt deeply grateful for having been able to share this moment with so many brave women. The experience reminded me that being a mother is a journey full of challenges and rewards, and that we are never alone on this journey. The community we have built in our church is a fundamental pillar that sustains and inspires us. And she loved being able to attend these types of celebrations where a woman's role as a mother is rewarded, and she is also reminded of the value of that role.

Esta celebración fue muy dinámica, muchas mamis se llevaron premios bellísimos, y yo me gané el centro de mesa, jajaja era una taza muy linda y con una dedicatoria sobre el Día de la Madre, nunca ganó nada, así que se puede decir que estaba de suerte, jajaja...

Este Día de las Madres no solo celebramos a nuestras mamás, sino también a todas las mujeres que, de alguna manera, han tocado nuestras vidas con su amor. Espero que cada uno de ustedes haya tenido un día lleno de amor y gratitud, y que sigamos celebrando juntas este hermoso vínculo que nos une.

This celebration was very dynamic, many moms won beautiful prizes, and I won the centerpiece, hahaha it was a very nice mug with a dedication about Mother's Day, never won anything, so you can say I was lucky, hahaha....

This Mother's Day we are not only celebrating our moms, but also all the women who have somehow touched our lives with their love. I hope each of you had a day filled with love and gratitude, and that we continue to celebrate together this beautiful bond that unites us.
