Al regresar a casa luego de una jornada ardua en la oficina, venía tan cansada y agobiada por algunas situaciones laborales, que lo quería hacer era ducharme y tomar una pequeña siesta, pero no siempre las cosa son como uno las imagina.
When I opened the sunny door I heard a surprise, grandma came to cook, I saw the table was full of vegetables, legumes, some proteins, so I said to myself that there will be a banquet here today, I did not know of a special date or any event to celebrate, so it seemed a little strange that my mother was preparing a whole banquet.
Al abrir la puerta sol escuche sorpresa, la abuela vino a cocinar, vi en la mesa estaba llena de vegetales, legumbres, algunas proteínas, así que me dije a mi misma que banquete habrá acá hoy, no sabía de una fecha especial o de algún acontecimiento que celebrar, por eso me parecía algo raro que mi madre estuviera preparando todo un banquete.

I had no choice but to take a shower and instead of taking a nap, I started chopping seasonings to help in the preparation, the kids were peeling the potatoes and carrots, my nieces were playing with the shells that fell on the floor and Blue, my nephews' pet, was watching to see what they were giving him to eat, everything was joyful.

Although years go by her absence keeps waking me up at night, she keeps appearing in my dreams telling me to buy her medicines or reminding me that the date of a family event was approaching, my mother was my compass, my calendar agenda, being able to share with her in that dream was something wonderful and although I know it was only a see you soon I miss her every day.
