Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Thanalorian Blade (Eng/Ita)

Hello to all Splinterlands friends !!!

There are so many new things in the Splinterlands world, especially with the introduction of the new Rewards and Hall of Legends cards, and we are still waiting for the last Airdrop card from the Conflicts set: it's called Nidhoggr, it's definitely a Dragon, and it will be released in about 2 days from the time I write this post.

Cards like Elanor Bravefoot have been incredibly successful, but especially the Conflicts airdrop card Eternal Tofu, a summoner with dual Life and Earth elements, is surpassing all others in terms of value, reaching the top spot with a price of $66.

But the Reward card I want to talk about today is Thanalorian Blade: an epic card of the Earth element, it has an average cost of 6 Mana. At level 1, it offers rather average stats, with 5 Health, 1 Armor, 2 Melee, and 3 Speed, and the Opportunity ability, great for challenges with the Up, Close and Personal ruleset.

However, it is at level 2 that it gains the new Execute ability, where if the enemy hit ends up with 2 or less Health, this card performs another attack on the same target, trying to deliver the finishing blow, especially since Thanalorian's attack is 2 Melee.

This card has been somewhat underestimated, and I haven't heard much talk about it, but that's also because we’ve only recently gotten to know the new Rewards cards, so we need several months to study all the new monsters that have entered the Splinterlands world.

Here's another challenge in the Modern format, where I've been increasingly using the combination of Lobb Lowland as a summoner and Quora Towershead in the Tank position, but in second place, I put the very card I was talking about earlier, Thanalorian Blade, followed by Spirit Hoarde, Goblin Psychic, Magi of Chaos, and finally Xenith Archer.

My opponent, on the other hand, deployed a classic Death team, with some variations, using Thaddius Brood as the summoner, the popular Cursed Windeku in the front position, followed by Riftwing, the new Moxian Rebel card, Silent Sha-vi, Halheim Demon, and finally, Daigendark Hunter.

I have to be honest, it was a very balanced challenge, and at one point, I thought I might lose, especially when I saw Quora drop to 2 Health points. One more hit, and she would have gone to 0, but in the end, she held on, thanks to her Heal ability and also the valuable contribution of Thanalorian Blade, who performed excellently from the second position. Using its Execute ability in round 3, it made a double attack that knocked Moxian Rebel out of the battlefield.

Ciao a tutti amici di Splinterlands !!!

Ci sono così tante novità nel mondo Splinterlands, soprattutto con l'introduzione delle nuove carte Rewards e Hall of Legends, e siamo ancora in attesa dell'ultima carta Airdrop delle Conflicts: si chiama Nidhoggr,è sicuramente un Drago, e verrà rilasciata tra circa 2 giorni da quando scrivo questo post.

Hanno avuto incredibile successo carte come Elanor Bravefoot , ma soprattutto l'airdrop delle Conflicts di nome Eternal Tofu, un evocatore dal doppio elemento Life e Earth, che sta sorpassando tutti gli altri in termini di quotazione, arrivando al primo posto con un prezzo di ben 66$.

Ma la carta Reward di cui volevo parlare oggi è Thanalorian Blade: carta epica dell'elemento Earth, ha un costo medio di 6 Mana, a al livello 1 offre stats abbastanza nella media, con 5 di Health, 1 di Armor, 2 di Melee e 3 di Speed, e l'abilità Opportunity, ottima da usare nelle sfide con il ruleset Up,close and personal.

Ma è al livello di potenziamento 2 che ottiene la nuova abilità Execute, per cui, se il nemico colpito finisce a 2 o meno di Health, questa carta effettua un altro attacco sulla stessa vittima, quindi cercando di dare il colpo di grazia, visto anche che l'attacco di Thanalorian è appunto 2 di Melee.

Questa carta è stata un po' sottovalutata, ne ho sentito parlare poco in giro, ma ciò è dovuto anche al fatto che è da poco tempo che conosciamo le nuove carte Rewards, quindi ci servono vari mesi per studiare bene tutti i nuovi mostri che sono entrati nel mondo di Splinterlands.

Ecco un'altra sfida nel formato Modern, in cui sto usando sempre di più l'accoppiata Lobb Lowland come evocatore, e Quora Towershead in posizione Tank, ma al secondo posto ho messo proprio la nuova carta di cui parlavo prima, ovvero Thanalorian Blade, seguita da Spirit Hoarde, Goblin Psychic, Magi of Chaos, e per finire Xenith Archer.

Il mio avversario, invece, ha schierato una classica squadra Death, ma con qualche variazione, con Thaddius Brood come evocatore, il gettonatissimo Cursed Windeku in prima posizione, seguito da Riftwing, la nuova carta Moxian Rebel, Silent Sha-vi, Halheim Demon, e per finire, Daigendark Hunter.

Devo essere sincero, è stata una sfida molto equilibrata ed , anzi, ad un certo punto pensavo di poter perdere, soprattutto quando ho visto Quora scendere verso i 2 punti di Health, bastava un altro colpetto ed andava a 0, però alla fine ha resistito , grazie alla sua abilità Heal, ma grazie anche al prezioso contributo di Thanalorian Blade, che ha fatto una ottima performance dalla seconda posizione e che , usando la sua abilità Execute al round 3, ha fatto un doppio attacco che ha mandato Moxian Rebel fuori dal campo di battaglia.
