Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Orella Abadon (Eng/Ita)

Hello everyone, friends of Splinterlands!!!

So far, I've had the chance to talk about two Gladiator cards that have really impressed me and that I use very often: the incredibly powerful Quora Towershead, a true force of nature—so strong that she's banned in many Brawls battles—and Chimney Wallstop, which I often place in second position behind a solid Tank card to make the most of its Reach ability.

Today, however, I want to tell you about another Gladiator monster that I frequently use and that has become a cornerstone of my strategies. Get ready, because this card deserves all your attention!

Orella Abadon: a rare, very "slim and agile" Fire-element card that costs only 2 Mana, but even at level 1, it already offers 2 Melee and Health, 3 Speed—which increases its chances of dodging enemy attacks—and two very strong abilities, Sneak and Bloodlust, making for a devastating combo.

It is a card that appears fairly often in Gladius packs, which can be purchased with Merits tokens, so upgrading it as much as possible is a great idea. In fact, at level 5, it becomes an incredible card, gaining the True Strike ability and improving all its stats.

In this battle with a mid-range Mana cap of 31, I chose the summoner Eternan Brune to be able to deploy a Gladiator card. I placed Infernal Firestorm as my Tank, followed by Septic Slime, Orella Abadon, Scavo Firebolt, Elanor Bravefoot, and finally, Scorch Fiend.

My opponent, on the other hand, went with a team composed entirely of Chaos Legion cards, with General Sloan as their summoner and Chaos Knight in first position, followed by Celestial Harpy, Time Mage, Xenith Archer, Pelacor Arbalest, and Supply Runner.

It was an interesting battle. In the first round, I almost thought I would lose, as my opponent’s team managed to take down my Tank card, thanks to a good lineup of monsters with strong ranged and magic attacks.

However, the outstanding performance of Orella Abadon, which leveraged the synergy of its two abilities from the third position, secured my victory by the third round. With Sneak, it was able to use its melee attack from the middle of the lineup without being too exposed to enemy attacks, and with Bloodlust, it capitalized on landing the finishing blow on two enemy cards in a row—reaching 4 Melee, a stat typically found only on cards that cost four times as much.

Orella has always been one of my go-to cards in Brawls and sometimes even in Ranked battles, especially in low-to-mid Mana Cap fights, or with rulesets like Little League, or when I have a slot left but only 2 Mana remaining.

It is definitely a card I will upgrade as soon as I get the chance.

Ciao a tutti amici di Splinterlands !!!

Finora ho avuto l'occasione di parlare di due carte Gladiator che mi hanno davvero colpito, e che quindi uso spessissimo: la potentissima Quora Towershead, una vera forza della natura, tanto forte da essere bandita in moltissime sfide delle Brawls, e Chimney Wallstop, che schiero spesso in seconda posizione dietro una solida carta Tank per sfruttarne al meglio la sua abilità Reach.

Oggi, però, voglio raccontarvi di un altro mostro Gladiator che uso molto di frequente e che è diventato un pilastro delle mie strategie. Preparatevi, perché questa carta merita tutta la vostra attenzione!

Orella Abadon: carta rara , molto "snella e agile", dell'elemento Fire, che costa solo 2 di Mana, ma già al livello 1 offre 2 di Melee e Health, 3 di Speed, con cui ha più possibilità di sgusciare via dai colpi avversari, e due abilità molto forti, Sneak e Bloodlust, che fanno insieme un'accoppiata devastante.

È una carta che si trova abbastanza di frequente nei pacchetti Gladius, quelli che si possono comprare con i token Merits, ed è quindi un'ottima idea quella di potenziarla il più possibile, infatti, già al livello 5 diventa una carta incredibile, conquistando l'abilità True Strike, e incrementando tutte le sue stats.

In questa sfida dal mana cap medio di 31, ho scelto l'evocatore Eternan Brune per poter schierare una carta gladiator, ed ho messo in posizione Tank il mostro Infernal Firestorm, seguito da Septic Slime, Orella Abadon, Scavo Firebolt, Elanor Bravefoot, e , e per finire, Scorch Fiend.

Il mio avversario, invece, si è orientato verso una squadra tutta composta di carte Chaos Legion, con General Sloan come evocatore, e Chaos Knight in prima posizione, seguito da Celestial Harpy, Time Mage, Xenith Archer, Pelacor Arbalest e Supply Runner.

È stata una sfida interessante, il primo Round pensavo quasi di poter perdere, visto che la squadra avversaria era riuscita a far fuori la mia carta Tank, grazie anche ad un buon schieramento di mostri ben dotati negli attacchi da lontano, come quelli ranged e magici.

Ma l'ottima prestazione di Orella Abadon, che ha sfruttato la sinergia delle due sue abilità, dalla terza posizione, mi ha assicurato la vittoria già al terzo round: con Sneak, ha potuto usare il suo attacco melee da posizione centrale, senza essere troppo esposta ai colpi nemici, e con l'abilità Bloodlust ha potuto capitalizzare sul fatto di aver dato il colpo di grazia a 2 carte di fila, arrivando a ben 4 di melle, un valore che di solito offrono solo carte che costano il quadruplo.

Orella è da sempre, sia nelle Brawls, ma alcune volte anche nelle sfide Ranked, una delle carte a cui mi rivolgo spesso nelle sfide a basso-medio Mana Cap, o con rulesets come Little League, o anche quando ho un posto disponibile ma solo 2 di mana rimasti.

È sicuramente una carta che potenzierò appena ne avrò la possibilità.
