Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Attack of the Ulunds (Eng/Ita)

Hello everyone, friends of Splinterlands !!!

In these days of exploring the new Conclave Arcana card edition, it's the new feature of Bloodlines and Bloodline Dominion that remains the most mysterious, because it's a completely new concept compared to older sets. We players are still getting used to it, and it's not easy ,when you only have a few seconds before a battle, to spend time figuring out which cards to choose.

Luckily, the team had the good sense to update both the Market page and the Items and Card Selection screen, adding a dropdown menu (highlighted in red in the image above) where you can simply type the name of a Bloodline,for example, Dwarf, and you'll be shown all cards of that type. Keep in mind that cards with the new Shapeshift ability are treated as if they belong to all Bloodlines.

It seems to me that while some Bloodlines still lack monsters, pending new promo, reward, and airdrop cards from Conflicts, there's one group that appears very large, full of cards from both the new edition and older ones.

I'm talking about the Ulunds, those friendly hippos of Praetoria who are becoming more and more prominent in our card game.

And with the Conclave Arcana edition, we have a new Archon, Bella Ratajowlski (perhaps inspired by Emily Ratajkowski, who knows?), of the Life element, but more importantly of the Ulund Bloodline. She grants Deflect to all team members and gives the Shield ability to her Bloodline Dominion.

So Bella Ratajowlski stands out as an archon who boosts the defensive capabilities of the whole team, especially of the Ulund cards.

Currently priced around $1.75 per BCX, she’s still a card that hasn’t received full recognition from either players or the market, which perhaps hasn't yet realized her full potential.

In this Modern battle, with a mid-high Mana Cap of 49 and no special Rulesets changing the game dynamics, I decided to field a unique team, a team made entirely of hippos! Led by the archon Bella Ratajowlski, I placed Ulundin Overseer in the Tank position, followed by Warwall Juggernaut, Moribund Arrowbait, Calabash Sage, Thunderous Herald, and Stampeding Calf.

My opponent also went for a new CA Archon, namely Razi Clanktrap, placing Grimward Ruinshot in first position, followed by Conclave Tracker, Ujurak Brave, Tokatag Conscript, Quillstorm Mage, and finally Dark Arborist.

These hippos are strong!

It was a crushing victory, only Moribund Arrowbait fell in the first round, but it was a valuable sacrifice. Why? Because Moribund Arrowbait has the new Bloodline Tribute ability, which, when the card dies, gives +1 Health, Speed, and Armor to its Bloodline allies, and also +1 to any shared attack type, for example, if other Ulund monsters have Ranged or Magic attacks, they receive +1 to that attack type.

This "sacrificial" ability, which reminds me a bit of Martyr but even more powerful, managed to boost my whole team, Calabash Sage went up to 5 Ranged, and Thunderous Herald to 3 Magic.

Ulundin Overseer, well-known from the Rebellion edition, is a heavyweight card without attack, but thanks to its stats and defensive abilities, it can absorb many hits, protecting the rest of the team.

I had a lot of fun playing this all-Ulund team. I think I'll go to the market to power up these cards, because the synergy of all these Bloodline abilities is truly a great combo that can crush even the strongest teams.

Ciao a tutti amici di Splinterlands !!!

In questi giorni di esplorazione della nuova edizione di carte Conclave Arcana, è la nuova funzionalità delle Bloodlines e della Bloodline Dominion ad essere la più misteriosa, perchè è un concetto completamente nuovo rispetto alle vecchie edizioni, ed ancora , noi giocatori, ci dobbiamo abituare, e non è facile, quando si hanno pochi secondi a diposizione prima di una battaglia, spendere tempo a ricercare quali carte schierare.

Per fortuna, lo staff ha pensato bene di aggiornare sia la paginata del Market, che quella delle Items e della Card Selection, mettendo un menù a tendina ( che nella foto sopra potete vedere in rosso), in cui, basta digitare il nome della Bloodline, per esempio Dwarf, e vi verranno mostrate tutte le carte di quel tipo, tenendo presente che le carte con la nuova abilità Shapeshift, vengono trattate come se fossere appartenenti a tutte le Bloodlines.

Mi sembra di notare che, mentre alcune Bloodlines sono ancora carenti di mostri, pur in aspettativa delle nuove carte promo, reward e airdrop delle Conflicts, a parte un gruppo che sembra molto voluminoso, pieno di carte sia delle nuova edizione che di quelle vecchie.

E sto parlando degli Ulunds, questi simpatici ippopotami di Preatoria, che sono sempre più protagonisti del nostro gioco di carte.

E con l'edizione Conclave Arcana, abbiamo un nuovo Archon, Bella Ratajowlski (forse ispirata a Emily Ratajkowski, chi sa? ), dell'elemento Life, ma soprattutto della Bloodline Ulund, a cui dona, oltre a Deflect che viene data a tutte le carte in squadra, anche l'abilità Shield legata alla propria Bloodline Dominion.

Quindi Bella Ratajowlski si propone come un archon che innalza le capacità difensive di tutta la squadra, ma soprattutto delle carte Ulund.

Con una quotazione attuale di circa 1,75$ per BCX, è ancora un carta che non ha ricevuto il pieno apprezzamento sia dei giocatori che dal mercato, che forse non hanno intravisto ,ancora, le sue potenzialità.

In questa battaglia Modern, con un Mana Cap medio-alto di 49, e nessun Ruleset che cambia le dinamiche di gioco, ho deciso di schierare una squadra inedita, una squadra completamente di ippopotami !: guidati dall'archon Bella Ratajowlski, ho messo Ulundin Overseer in posizione Tank, seguito da Warwall Juggernaut, Moribund Arrowbait, Calabash Sage, Thunderous Herald, Stampeding Calf.

Anche il mio avversario si è orientato verso un nuovo archon CA, ovvero Razi Clanktrap, schierando in prima posizione Grimward Ruinshot, Conclave Tracker, Ujurak Brave, Tokatag Conscript, Quillstorm Mage, e , per finire, Dark Arborist.

Sono forti questi ippopotami !

È stata una vittoria schiacciante, solo Moribund Arrowbait ha lasciato il campo subito al primo round, ma è stato un sacrificio prezioso: sì, perchè Moribund Arrowbait possiede la nuova abilità Bloodline Tribute, che, quando questa carta muore, dove +1 in Health, Speed e Armore e in più +1 in qualsiasi attacco condiviso, per esempio se altri mostri Ulund in squadra possiedo attacchi Ranged o Magici, ricevono +1 in quel tipo di attacco.

Questa abilità "sacrificale", che mi ricorda un po' Martyr, solo più potente, è riuscita a potenziare tutta la mia squadra, facendo andare Calabash Sage ad addirittura 5 di Ranged, e Thunderous Herald a 3 di Magic.

Ulundin Overseer, lo conosciamo bene dall'edizione Rebellion, è una carta di peso, ma senza attacco, ma con le sue stats e abilità difensive riesce ad incassare tanti colpi, risparmiando gli altri compagni in squadra.

Mi ha molto divertito schierare questa squadra tutta Ulund, credo che andrò sul mercato per potenziare questa carte, perchè la sinergia di tutte questa abilità Bloodlines insieme sono veramente un bel mix che può annientare anche le squadre più forti.
